Hi, I live in a council flat have a secure tenancy and am in work.
Can i have permission to have a short term lodger (and advertise on air bnb)? Apparently i just need written permission. What is the best way of going about this? Do i have to accept the reasons if they say no?

I believe you can get a lodger when in a council property, but I bought my council house first. If you get a lodger, you are telling them that you are under occupied, may they want you to down-size?0 -
Ask the council. What is the best way of going about this?
Depends on the reasons. If you think they are being unreasonable you can dispute it.Do i have to accept the reasons if they say no?0 -
don't know, we cannot see your council tenancy agreement from here. Have you read it?Hi, I live in a council flat have a secure tenancy and am in work.

you do what it asks for and you write to themApparently i just need written permission. What is the best way of going about this?
no, you can take legal action against the council if they have imposed conditions out side of the terms of your tenancy. Somehow though I doubt someone living in a council house, even if they are working, could afford to do that.Do i have to accept the reasons if they say no?0
