I'm really sorry to contradict you on that, the case is exactly the same. Let's forget the Barclaycard cheque. We are talking about mbna now. My policy was taken in 2005 and the letter sent to my old address was sent in late 2013 and I moved in May 2013 so over 3 years ago. Where the difference if you don't mind me asking?

I'm here only sharing my experience. I have no reason to mislead anyone. Rae25 you won't lose anything if you get in touch with them and please update your tread if possible so others can benefit from your experience please.

Was it a cheque from MBNA or not? You have yet to clarify this.

If you had a CCL letter and had it successfully rescinded then fair enough..

Yes it was an invitation to complaint that's what I was trying to explain. And on the letter they sent me back in October they stated that they won't be reopening the case because I didn't respond to the invitation sent over 3 years ago and only refunded the high undiscloed commissions. I called them and explained that at the time I was no longer living at that address so they gave me an email address to send a prove that I moved and when I moved. I sent them a scanned copies of my council tax bill. They reopened the case and upheld it.
