Mbna ppi advice

Hi I successfully reclaimed my ppi with your help years ago and am now doing my partners with resolver and template letters. Mbna have responded saying a letter was sent three years ago and this claim therefore can't be upheld. Even though he moved over three years ago. The account was already closed so there would have been no reason to inform them of change of address . They are saying because ppi was taken out over 6 years ago that the fos won't help. Is this a lost cause?

A properly applied time-bar cannot be overruled even by the Ombudsman.

It went to the last address the Bank had on file for you, that's not the "wrong" address I'm afraid.

So chances are any ppi reclaims are worthless as if every company did this he'll receive nothing. Thankyou for your help time to break the news

Many lenders did indeed send these letters, precisely so that PPI complaints did not continue on and on (and on)

In August 2019, it will all be over for everyone regardless of whether they were sent a CLC letter.

    Hi,

I had the same issue with them. Got in touch and had the complain reopened and upheld when I sent them a prove that I wasn't living in the address when the letter was sent. They were very helpful.

I thought it was a redress cheque which was sent to your former address?

And to answer your question rae25 it was MBNA I contacted directly. They gave me an email for the advocate department to send my proves of address change is council tax bill and reopened the case and sorted it with 3 weeks.
