Get in! Easy when you know how, isn't it? APCOA don't like forum appeals!

APCOA must be costing POPLA a lot in lost fees by caving in as soon as a substantive appeal is submitted. No doubt POPLA, in conjunction with the BPA, will investigate the wanton way in which APCOA is treating the second stage appeal service with disdain.

POPLA would go bust if all PPCs opted out of paying their dues by withdrawing as soon as they see a 'tricky one'!

Yes Coupon-mad, easy especially with guidance from the likes of yourself, Redx and others here on the forum. I hope this thread can encourage others to pursue their own appeals against these rogue rip off parking companies ! ! !

Hi, I hope someone can help or advise.

My aunty was terminally ill in Bedford hospital, mum paid parking of £4 and visited 25th April 2018. Today (24th July 2018) she has received notification in the post that she did not pay and display. Having in mind, this is now 3 months ago, she has got rid of the pay & display ticket she paid for at the machine and they are now demanding £30 to be paid immediately or £18 if within 14 days.

Bad enough you have to pay to go and see someone dying, quite another to be expected to keep a pay and display ticket for over 3 months just in case!

    Thoughts please
    Thanks

  • Hi Guys

I just wanted to share my story. My son got a ticket from Manchester Victoria - APCOA for not paying / displaying a ticket...however he had bought a pay and display ticket but the registration wasn’t typed in the machine properly ...he pressed O instead of the number 0 (zero) . So they issued a ticket which we received about 2 months after he parked there. I read through all the posts on here but was a bit scared to post and ask for advise as sometimes some of you are a bit harsh so I soldiered on and put together my appeal and used the invaluable advise posted by people like redx, Coupon m etc...you guys are STARS 🌟. I sent in my first appeal to APCOA from keeper, appeal was refused, then sent in appeal to POPLA. as keeper, no disclosure of driver throughout...pretty much used the examples on this forum for appeal letters but tweaked a few sections submitted POPLA appeal around 2 and a half weeks ago and got a response today saying my appeal has been successful and APCOA do not wish to contest my appeal. I’m buzzing...thank you guys so much for all the advise, information and help you provide on this forum....your the best!!!! It feels good to not get ripped off for once!!👊🏽👌🏽✌🏼

Standard APCOA response to anyone putting up a robust POPLA appeal. Well done! :T

Who are you asking that question of?

  • Hi
I was wondering if someone could help? I attended a workshop at NatWest in Bristol on 12/09/2019 for my new start up company. I drive a red vauxhall vivaro and i arrived around 9am ish and after driving around the car park twice the only space that i could fit my van in was the space i parked in but because the two cars opposite were parked further forward and obstructing the road making it difficult for traffic to pass i decided to sensibly park across the spaces because if i parked normally because of the length of my vehicle and how the cars opposite had parked it would have blocked any passing cars.
I was attending the workshop for 4 hours but i thought because i had parked in such a way and thinking it was the fairest thing to do i paid for 24hours and left within 4.30 hours. When i returned there was a parking attendant at my vehicle he told me i shouldn't of parked like i did and i effectively got a telling off for what i thought was just common sense. He could see how the other cars had parked and he just said well if cars couldn't get past then they would have fined all three vehicles so it was a no win situation. I appealed the charge and explained the above. I also have no money and i had used all my available money on the ticket for 24 hours. I just don't know what to do and to be honest if i was to be pedantic about the ticket wording where it says park wholly within the spaces provided well i did just that, didn't i ?
