The app has gone from being one of the best to absolute rubbish in one update.

I also find it interesting that they have removed functionality on pending payments and editing pending payments. I complained to them last month about pending payments having a flaw and they refused to accept responsibility and dismissed my complaint immediately.

I said I would complain to the Ombudsman. I haven't done so yet as it isn't a priority of mine but removing the functionality would probably make my complaint stronger.

I registered my Ipad air this morning to use the new mobile app. It just uses a OTP which is common so no hassle. It does not seem that much more difficult or easy to use than the old app but I think the transactions screen seems clearer.

What would you actually hope to achieve by complaining to the FOS? I wouldn't expect app functionality or availability on specific platforms to be a formal part of the account Ts & Cs and can't see the FOS having any authority to compel Santander to actually do anything for customers irritated by the latest release....

I've just updated the app. It seems a lot easier to use than before, and considering Santander is my main 'proper' current account, should make the administration of my money a lot easier

I'm not going into details at the moment but removing the functionality in the app suggests that it wasn't working as it should which was the basis of my complaint.

Different apps will have different requirements. Not all banking apps will be the same.

Banks will update their software as often as necessary to combat fraud/hackers, they will work with the latest apple and android software but i'm afraid individuals must keep up to date with their tech, a phone or a tablet older than a year is probably already and old model so if you have an iphone 5 it is 6yrs old and there a rumours that apple support for that model is going to come to an end

My android app has been freezing after a sucessful login. This has been happening for a couple of months - any cure for this?

Uninstalled and re-installed, now working, but for how long?
