Maplins like Halfords are only used when they have a special offer on, but even then you maybe able to get cheaper elsewhere.
They used to be ideal for bulk items, bit like B&Q and Screwfix, goto B&Q but a small bag of screws (20 - 50) for £3 or £4, or goto Screwfix and buy a large box of 1000 for the same price.
Buying fuses by the box of wire by the 100M reel used to be really cheap. Now i can get it online for much less even if i pay extra for next day delivery. But plenty offer free delivery if you spend very little.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
In November I needed a USB3 converter for my phone. Went to Maplins and took one off the shelf marked a6 £3.99. Went to the till and it rang up as £9.99. Eventually got it for the shelf marked price but what a hassle. Manager removed the shelf tag price ticket. Thought I'm never coming back here!
£3.99 was about right.... £9.99 is a rip off0
