I'm shocking at actually taking food to work so this going to be a real challenge for me!

I was the same too, takes a bit of getting organised but once you're in the swing of things it's easy. And cheap!

    Good luck :)

Its really easy, slice some chicken breasts breadth-ways into 1cm slices, marinade overnight then grill with whatever veg you fancy. Squeeze of lemon over the top just before serving. Or it's nice in wraps with grated cheese and bbq sauce.

For the marinade I use plain yoghurt, tikka powder, chilli powder, cumin, garlic granules and salt but there are loads of marinade recipes on line.

I used to love cooking and I'm getting back into my old ways, which I'm really enjoying.

Oooh Thank you I will have to have a go at that, I love cooking but finding being organised, menu planning etc and a tight budget a bit frustrating but I'll get there x

  • Today brought in leftover aubergine dal, based on Jamie Oliver's recipe. I don't bother with roasting in the oven though, just chuck everything in the pressure cooker for 15 minutes and it's good to go. I love dals and split pea recipes, they're so cheap but filling (and freeze well!).

Have you tried the Savvy Shopper's cookbook? There's an online site and also a recipe book, very good for budget cooking :)

I can't take any of the credit for that one, Storm89 recommended it to me and it's pretty decent. I ordered the book (used) on Am@zon for £4

Today's lunch was going to be chicken stir fry but I ate it for breakfast :p
