I use the little jars of meat paste for tablets as ours both have multiple tablets and if thoroughly enclose in the paste are difficult to  separate tablet from paste. Peanut butter works well too but can be messy. Fish paste might work better for cats ( assuming they like fish).

We only have a small dog now, and he will eat any tablet if I squish it in a piece of cheese, but I remember how difficult it was when we had cats >:)

I'm afraid that concealing tablets in tempting smelly treat foods such as meat or fish pastes, tuna, sardines, cheese, etc, doesn't work with Soot because he only likes cat food. And that doesn't include cat food containing tablets, grrrr.

Cats are far too crafty when it comes to food. Glad we have dogs.
  • My dog just eats his tablets out of my hand. Easiest dog to medicate ever!

Sorry to hear you had a bad reaction to your booster.

A cat on a diet is not a natural combination - good luck with resisting the emotional blackmail.

When I got my first cat, the vet nurse kindly recommended a 'bundle in towel and hold between knees' technique combined with one of these godsends.  I'm not sure I would have ever got a tablet down either of them without it.
Hope your booster reaction is easing.
