Thanks. We had a lovely time. It was the holiday we booked for autumn 2020, then were unable to take because our area moved up a Tier in the Covid restrictions. Third time we've stayed there..... Norfolk - a little studio apartment up in the loft space of a converted old stables. We got back last night. Mr F has volunteered for the grocery shopping & I'm about to peg out the first load of post-holiday laundry.
As he was gathering together shopping list, bags, etc, Mr F was making noises about defrosting the freezers this weekend. It will be great if that happens as I'm still very much in 'use-it-up' /space-making mode atm with both Christmas & a fishbox delivery hoving into view.
Also need to sit at my desk with a bucket of coffee & reconcile holiday spending/budget.
Missing Soot & Ash. They are coming home first thing tomorrow.
Right.....must crack on as lots to do.
Hope everyone doing ok & not succumbed to the lergy.

Glad you are back safe and sound and had a lovely time, just what you needed after being so poorly both of you. Have a good weekend x5

It's always so weird when the cats are still at the cattery - such an empty house feeling. Glad you had a lovely time though and it sounds like a lovely place to stay.

Hi Foxgloves have just made several garlic flatbreads (your recipe) and wondered if you could recommend the best way to freeze them, also sorry to be a pain but could you recommend an easy fudge recipe for me to use for christmas gifts. thanx x3
-
@FourSeasons - I freeze garlic flatbreads by interleaving them with a modest rectangle of greaseproof paper or parchment, then putting the pile of them in a freezer bag.
Yes, I do have a good fudge recipe, which I'll try to remember to look out for you....but if the ingredients need to go on an imminent shopping list, I can tell you off the top of my head that it requires butter, white granulated sugar, whole milk, a tin of evaporated milk & vanilla extract.

Glad you had a nice time on holiday.
I bet Soot and Ash will be pleased to see you - although our feline friends sometimes have a sulk if you've interfered with their world.

I find the flatbreads just freeze fine in a bag without the greaseproof- they just pull apart when needed.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
