I too have been tempted by the sales in the past. but unless I see something I absolutely love it has to stay in the shop. I've wasted so much in the past by buying because it was reduced, and then the charity shop has been its final home. It would be much quicker just to send a donation straight to the charity.!! Thanks for your postings Foxgloves and friends, I've enjoyed being part of this little group in 2021. Stay safe, enjoy your festive season, and look forward to 2022 and all the inspiration this group brings. xx5

Yes, same here @marionmgcars. Mid-Spendy Era, I bagged up all the clothes I didn't wear & donated them to the local Salvation Army clothing appeal (4 full to bursting bin bags) The majority of them were unloved sale purchases & a significant proportion of the rest were impulse buys because I was such a frequent city centre shopper.
Have a good Christmas. Glad you enjoy all the chat on my little diary community. It's a nice group & I think we all find things to learn from each other.

Thank-you all for your good wishes & nice comments.
Well m'dears, I've sorted out a pile of 'officially the last laundry until after Christmas', made chestnut stuffing for me and sage, onion & apple stuffing for the resident chestnut dodger. I've baked a tin of biscuits, prepped pigs in blankets & devils on horseback (for me), stuffed the turkey & sewn it up. I'm now listening to the Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols from King's College Cambridge with the tree lights on & a welcome cup of tea.
Mr F's cooking night later, so I'm looking forward to a hot bubble bath, hair wash, drinky-poo & 'Love actually'.
Whether you celebrate the birth of the son of your God, the older pagan midwinter festival of Yule or simply a very welcome bit of time off work to spend with family & friends, I'd like to wish you a very Happy Christmas. It's been another funny old year, but January is such a good time for fresh starts & revisiting things. I'm sure we'll soon all be back with ideas a-plenty.
