@Pixiehouse55 - That's so exciting! It's a good while yet till my pension, even longer for Mr F, as I am very definitely the older half of the relationship! We are still enjoying thinking about future plans though.
I think living in a campervan while travelling around looking at boats sounds a fab thing to do. It really appeals to my inner hippy.

Another two bags of stuff going off to the charity shop this morning. As we still have a lot of room-emptying to do on & off until all the work is finished, we are getting as much surplus stuff shifted out of the house as we can. It's less to store.
Busy weekend planned.

April 64 - total eclipse of the sensible spending sun until the planets re-aligned many years later 😁.
sounds like you are doing lots of de-cluttering. I need to get going on that again but I've been doing plenty of shredding - so much ancient paperwork.5 -

It's a lovely future to look forward to, @Pixiehouse55.
Mr F has just informed me that the rain is setting in this afternoon & continuing all day tomorrow, so I think I will finish my coffee & go & do some greenhouse jobs. I could usefully get on with potting up the basil seedlings, also the ragged robin. Apart from that, we are aiming to have a gentle day which involves neither furniture moving, cleaning or tip runs.
If I got a couple of bedspread squares knitted too, that would be a bonus (92 / 144).

Hello Sunday Savers,
Well, as there is a lot of spending happening on the home improvements project, allbeit budgeted for, I am also embracing an urge to 'shop from home' atm where possible. Am pleased to report the following recent shopping from home successes:
*An unused basket is now holding all my writing paper, cards, envelopes, etc.
*New bra now not required as I was able to repair the pokey plastic thing.
*Another redundant basket now neatly holding my toiletries stash.
*Removed deceased plant from ceramic pot I'd forgotten about & used it to plant up my free azalea.
*Re-strung 3 items for Mr F using leather thonging from long-forgotten jewellery-making supplies which had been in the loft for 19 years!
*Found an empty lidded plastic storage box, now repurposed for medicines/first aid supplies.
*Scented candle. No, I haven't bought a new one but I have been successfully using the leftover scented wax on my wax-melt burner. Each small handful provides 2 burns.
*Long piece of lightweight packing material from new bedroom furniture now being used as horticultural fleece in greenhouse.
... & from this afternoon, we were just wishing we'd bought some biscuits for afternoon coffee & were just contemplating a biscuit run, when Mr F said 'What's the quickest thing you could possibly bake from stuff we' ve already got in? ', so I made a half batch of scones. We were eating one 35 mins later topped with my friend's home made blackcurrant jam! I always use Mary Berry's recipe for' best ever scones' now because they are so speedy - I never bother with rolling - & always rise well without fail.
Well, it is so chilly, I have already put the greenhouse to bed. Time for those pesky bedspread squares now.
Stay cosy,
