Scandimore - Agree re charity shops! I really would like to be able to take in our bags of stuff. Decorator returns next week to do the next room so it is going to be chaos upstairs as we will need to decamp to the spare room which will also be full of displaced furniture. I am trying to get as much stuff as possible out of the house before the start date!
Yes, icy here overnight too & again tonight. Have wrapped my greenhouse veggie plant babies up well.

We too had snow earlier today most of it had gone by 9 except a patch about A4 size near the front door, which still had snow around 11.30, not so surprised as that area doesn't see the sun until late in the day.
It was much milder today than predicted. we planned to see my sister and family but hadn't decided the time or whose garden. In the end we settled on theirs as it was more sheltered. I thought we would maybe stay an hour at the most before the weather made us beat a hasty retreat but in the end we stayed nearly 5 hours 🤗 It has really lifted our spirits being together.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

We had a few flakes of snow this morning. Just as we were cutting the hedge, it was very cold so filled the garden bin up and came back in after half an hour.
It will be lovely to go shopping in the charity shops again and also to donate to them again.

Agree, I_love_comps.... it's too cold for sustained gardening sessions, unless it involvesva good bonfire.

Hello Icicles,
Great start to the day. Three loads of laundry pegged out...... feeling very pleased with myself. Then the first of the snow showers arrived so I ran out to fetch it all in again. Now on heated airer. April... & I'm paying to dry bloody washing, grrrr!
Did my Monday morning budget updates, deferred from yesterday. Did a £10 survey, which felt like a decent use of 45 mins. Spent this afternoon sorting more boxes & bags from the loft. Heaps of photos. Kept all the ones that make me feel positive & smiley. Got rid of all the ones which didn't. A very cathartic activity. Sorted through heaps of jewellery-making equipment from about 25 years ago when I used to sell at craft fairs. Some added to charity shop bags, a couple of tools will go to my sister for her lino-cutting, a bag of 'crystals' to send to a friend who makes cards, a drill for the shed & a tin of useful stuff inc leather thonging, jump rings, ear wires, etc, to keep along with my jewellery pliers as a repair kit. Two brooches I couldn't even remember making popped in the presents bag. Also 2 sacks of rubbish & 1 of recycling into the wheelie bins. I have had to give my hands a good scrub, though. I was sorting the jewellery supplies box & became aware of something stinging my hands. Found an empty bottle of a chemical I used to use to 'age' pewter, before buffing up the embossed designs so they shine silver. It had leaked over everything. I had forgotten I ever had it. That box hasn't been opened in 20 years! Mr F was quite grumpy about going to work this morning. He has got Declutteringitis too & wanted to bring down the next consignment of crud from the loft.
Well m'dears, the horizontal snow has stopped, the sun has got his hat on again, so I'm going to go & put my greenhouse plant babies to bed.
Stay cosy! I had intended to switch the heating off on April 1st. Needless to say, it's still on.

My loft is the place where tech stuff goes to die 😀I have an old ZX Spectrum games console up there, an Atari, a Sega Megadrive and a black and white portable tv. I've hired a skip before and cleared my loft but it badly needs doing againOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205

Glad you managed some family meet-up time, BaileysBabe. Wish I lived nearer to my sister.

Well done on the de-cluttering Foxgloves. Lofts tend to be like the land that time forgot 😱 . It can be quite addictive once you get started I find.
It's seriously cold here too compared to Sunday 😨. Like you it looks lovely and sunny, but woe betide if you step outside as there's a biting wind and we had sleet showers earlier. I'm still laughing at "blows straight up your nethers" 😂🤣.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
