The Foxgloves knitting project is inspiring lots of us! I was very excited to discover a "random stripe generator" tool on line to help me design my crochet blanket project. You enter the yarn colours, number of rows and your range of number of rows per stripe (I did 4, 6 and 8. Then press the button and a visual of a blanket design appears with instructions and then I pressed it again, and again and again because it was such fun 🤣. Well, this is second lockdown so expectations of fun have been adjusted. Mind you, I just re-read before posting and had been chatting away about a random strip generator which is an entirely different type of fun 🤭8

Blackcats - Oooh, a random stripe generator, how exciting to us knitters & useful for blankets, etc. Am glad you noticed just in time that you were about to recommend the generation of random stripping, however! I do think my life could do with jazzing up at the moment, but that really would give our moany neighbour something to complain about, lol!
Pixiehouse55 - That's a nice pattern, very striking. Sorry to hear that the chap you care for is back to hospital. Hope the stent solves the problem.

Hello m'dears,
Well, I have just been standing up in my HQ window looking at the most glorious sunset, but doesn't darkness fall swiftly at this time of year. I had no sooner closed the curtains on the be-ribboned sky & it seemed to be dark almost instantly. A useful couple of days. I didn't do any of the things I'd intended yesterday, including going into town because it was a decent dry day & as Mr F was already moving his painting endeavours to the lobby, I decided to have a morning clearing the garden. I managed to weed & cut back the front section of quite a large flowerbed - 3 big trugs full of stuff & some much needed exercise for me. I also planted out the half dozen pink primroses which I divided up a couple of months ago & moved a pot containing a cornus 'Midwinter fire' to a dull corner for a bit of seasonal colour. My tulip bulbs arrived today (local garden centre had completely sold out) so that's another nice 'looking forward' job I can be getting on with.
Today I've ordered the last three Christmas presents on my list - one for my sister & two for Mr F. I just need to visit the local old-fashioned sweet shop now as am going to do cellophaned see-through pint beakers for a couple of people, containing their favourite sweeties. Oh, & I shall need to make some fudge for gifting as well. I've cracked on with more wrapping this afternoon & hope to do some more tomorrow. Other stuff? I've baked a seedy loaf, a batch of rolls & I have a pizza base sitting waiting for me to adorn it with topping. I also nobbled Mr F over breakfast to see if there's anything he fancies eating/cooking next week, so was able to knock out a meal plan. I fully admit to having dumped the ironing pile in the back bedroom & shut the door on it. I felt it was giving me accusing looks. I shall do it tomorrow as my 'frog-swallowing' task.
Oh, & I asked Mr F to fetch the Christmas crate down from the loft, which he has done, as I do find that seeing first hand what I already have (i.e plenty) is helpful for putting the brakes on any new little glittery gewgaws I may feel I 'need'!
Well I'd better go & sort this pizza out, then I can relax with some piano & knitting - shall be casting on my 5th square tonight.
Take care of yourselves, please.

You're sounding very organised for Christmas 🎄 and I think the sweets in a pint glass idea is a good one. I love tulips so I must try and get hold of some bulbs 🌷. Is it too late to plant daffodil bulbs do you think? Our hungry slug multitudes ate all our colourful primroses last summer 😡 so I've given up buying them, which is a shame as I do like them. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

HHoD - Yes, Kayannie is right - Daffodil & narcissi bulbs are usually planted earlier, but they will still be ok if you plant them now. They will just flower a bit later. My old Nana used to love a bargain, so she used to look for reduced bags of daffs in December. They still flowered.
Re the sweets - I once won a nice selection of sweets on a charity stall raffle. They were in one of those plastic pint glasses you get at festivals & the whole thing had been wrapped in clear cellophane, gathered at the top & tied with ribbon. It looked really pretty, so I am going to do a couple of those.
I am being organised because I shall have to post so much this year.

Sadly i haven't had time to put all my bulbs in this year, I brought new ones as i couldn't find my bulbs from before, We took them out of the border as the Pigeons were getting in to the soil to pick up the seeds that the birds didn't want, trampled all over my flowers and we had to dig everything up. it was a nightmare, and now with lockdowns and our man being poorly i haven't got any bulbs in the ground. hey Ho . We are sat here today doing our tax returns as we hadn't finished doing them yesterday. just paid another 329 off my credit card. Direct Debit of 400 goes out on 23rd and my credit card is paid off yeahhhhh .. Still got my other cc to pay off. wasn't much on there until Monday when i had my eye test and needed new glasses
wont take long to pay off. reason it went on my card was because i forgot to transfer funds over to pay for my glasses out of our Bill account. I need to go and pay that off my cc now. Hope you are all ok and having a good day? Keep safe everyone X
