Hello Frugalistas,
I seem to have spent a ridiculous amount of time scrubbing things today - mostly kitchen cupboard doors & tiles, also grubby kettle, which is now sitting full of water & a half lemon beforw being re-boiled & left overnight to shift limescale. Everything is back on my dresser - had a move around too, so it's looking lovely & tidy & the fairy lights illuminate all my 'treasures' with such a soft warm light. Have been quite strict about decluttering as I go. I picked up a pretty little 1930s green glass butter dish shaped like a cow (told you I used to spend too much time at vintage fairs back in the Spendy Years, didn't I? ) & decided that if there was room for it at the back of my crockery cupboard, it could stay, & if not, it would go to the charity shop. There was no room for it, so I went to put it ready for the charity bag, when all of a sudden it just pinged out of my hand & smashed all over the floor! Clearly it didn't want to go!
I've also baked a seeded loaf, done two loads of laundry & made a list of all my recent online orders so I can note delivery dates & cross off as things arrive. I just have piano practice to do, then I shall read & knit and hopefully watch the next episode of 'DNA'.
Virtually no cooking required tonight, as Mr F made enough lasagne yesterday to feed us for two days.
Ok, that's today's thoroughly unrivetting activity from me,
Take care now.

The kitchen sounds lovely. Sorry to hear about the butter dish - it sounds just the sort of thing I would have bought at an antiques fair in the past. Usually the antiques fair occupied Sunday morning which was the perfect excuse to then have a pub lunch (not that I ever needed an excuse to spend more money that I didn't actually have).7

Hi Blackcats, Yes, me too! Sunday morning mooches around antique fairs spending money I didn't have. The biggest fair I used to frequent involved a drive down the M1 & on route, I'd tell myself that I'd got cash in my purse & it'd be home time as soon as I'd spent it. This would usually be 40 quid or so.... more than enough back then to choose something nice or 2 or 3 cheaper things. Of course I used to get round this without batting an eyelid......I'd buy things using cheques (as stall holders only rarely had card readers at the time) & save the cash for my final purchase, so as to stick to my 'when it's gone, it' s home time' rule in a very cheaty way. I do still have quite a lot of the vintage items I bought & I still love & enjoy owning them, but I bet I've off-loaded at least twice as many over the years to charity shops, car boots, other people & the bin. Yes, the Sunday morning vintage fair habit would have contributed quite a chunk to my debt. I think I do have a collector's streak but I manage it much better now.

Hellooooo. Well today I gave in and brought a cheap soup maker. I can then throw everything in it. Meat veg potatoes or barley etc and make a smooth soup for J, He is getting fed up with a sloppy diet.... I don't blame him. Ive cleared out one of the cupboard space under the stairs and put a large quantity of food containers on a social media to get rid of plus a couple of roasting tins. Now hubby as taken cupboard apart replaced it with a door and now have storage for my vacuum and steam mop. Happy Bunny now. Then done a bit of tidying in my craft room. Rest of the day I've been doing some knitting. Jumper for my niece's 3 Yr old son. Oh and sorted out monies so I can pay off a bit more on my credit card. Hope you've all had a good day? Keep Safe X

Morning Sunbeams,
Yes, sunshine here! The fog lifted nice & early so I've pegged out the rest of this week's laundry. Have also tidied, dealt with my emails & put a brisket in the slow cooker for Barbecoa Beef. It will just need shredding when it's done & serving with wraps & salad, so very little to do to it. I love my slow cooker. Mr F not furloughed but working from home some days. I've lent him my desk for this morning while I'm downstairs as I intend watching TV while I make a big effort to get my friend's throw finished today. It's on 9mm needles so there's every chance I can be casting off tonight.
Then this afternoon, I shall get my HQ back & will be doing budget updates, a bit more present ordering & a variety of other tasks which require my desk & laptop.
Coffee time now..... we run on caffiene in this house,

Hello m'dears,
A bit of fresh air & exercise for me today, which frankly stemmed from me being a bit of tightwad these days. I realised that tomorrow is collection day for our garden waste wheelie bin & it was only a quarter full. As this is the paid for collection, I can't see the point in paying the fee, then failing to make full use of the service. So I attacked the shrubbery alongside the front of the house, especially the winter jasmine, which was attempting to grow over, under & even THROUGH the fence! Had a big sweep up afterwards, then as there was still space left in the bin, I also cut back the most overgrown bits of buddleja & also ejected two very sorry looking peonies from their pots. I've also made bread - a seedy loaf just out of the oven & cooling & a sourdough proving, which will be baked either later today or tomorrow morning, & sorted all the clean laundry. I'm not in the mood for ironing (am I ever?) so that can wait until tomorrow. I did finish knitting my friend's throw last night & so I shall sew in all the ends tonight, then it can come upstairs & be added to the growing pile of things in my HQ which need wrapping. Very little cooking required tonight, as there's plenty of the barbecoa beef left, which I cooked yesterday. I think we'll have that atop a bowl of home made jacket wedges with some coleslaw. Intending to sort out next week's meal plans next & am wondering if we might manage to get a supermarket delivery slot, so that we'll only need to pop into town for the market on Saturday. Worth a try, anyway so had better get organised.
Hope everyone's managed at least a reasonably decent day,

Helloooooo.. Well the soup maker i brought is brilliant, just throw anything in and you get a tasty soup. J had left over roast dinner thrown in to make soup yesterday and he loved it😊. Today we had chicken in a honey and mustard sauce cooked in s,ow cooker. Whilst eating ours we put some for J in the soup maker with veg and potatoes. Win win, he loved it. Don't know what tomorrow's will be yet. Hubby had a bad day felt poorly....reason being. He forgot to take his slow release tramadol this morning. Took it tonight and sound asleep already. Hopefully a good night's sleep and he will be fine tomorrow. Ive done the washing today and brushed/ washed all the floors downstairs. Tomorrow will be clean the bathroom and hoover the 2 flights of stairs. Off to read for a bit
