I read every day but don’t often comment. I find your diary so inspiring.I thought we’d just procured a bargain greenhouse. It cost just £60 plus petrol to go and dismantle and collect it from a town 45 minutes away. Very happy with that and, I thought, great result. Until I got home...

Hope your sore throat doesn't turn into anything Foxgloves, unbelievably despite being on antibiotics for the last week I woke up this morning with a sore throat and runny nose, it's not fair at all and I'm really grumpy about it 😠
Have you ever made Elderflower or berry syrup, that's supposed to help a sore throat but I wouldn't have a clue how to make it 🤷♀️Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1207 -
My hay fever had gone but has come back with a vengeance the past few days. Could that be your sore throat?

OBL - Yes, I've made elderberry cordial in the past & it is very soothing on a sore throat when made up with hot water from the kettle.
CCL - I don't suffer from hayfever, so I don't think it can be anything pollen-related.
I think it most likely that I am fighting off a mild cold.

Hello diary readers,
Oh my giddy trousers, we've spent some money today.... We went to an Autumn Food & Craft Fair at a place over in the next county for which we have a Friends membership. It was a lovely event in beautiful gardens & apart from one-way systems & masks, it felt NORMAL!! I should add that expenditure for all items purchased will be applied to the relevant budgets.... house & garden, groceries, our monthly personal spends & the presents pot...... because dare I mention that I bought a Christmas present? Or would I become a dfw diary pariah of the highest order? I am a huge believer in buying gifts throughout the year if & when I see something just right for the person in mind.
I've spent some time this afternoon getting a few jobs done - laundry, plus turning a colander of our windfall apples into apple sauce. I think the disruption will step up this coming week as both builders will be here & the heating engineering looks ready to move upstairs. I'm not writing a joblist as have no idea how much I will be able to access/tackle, but I am nevertheless intending to do as much as I possibly can so that I feel at least reasonably on top of things.
I can but hope! Just had a beautiful rainbow here.... but no rain! I'm taking that as a hopeful sign.

Finally having a wardrobe sort out, it’s not easy when diet is not consistent and my size fluctuates and don’t want to be buying any new clothes ( really don’t need them!) would people recommend eBay or Facebook for clothes selling ( most will be plus size) or any other site? We have new potatoes from garden with Sunday dinner and got fresh sweet corn cobs for tomorrow with sourdough pizza from frozen dough found in freezer today ( I hope it is the pizza dough- must label things 🤣Happy weekend everyone!Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2021 no 50 Target for this year £12,000

Hi Welshspendthrift - I've done well with selling (mostly) plus size clothes on Ebay in the past, but haven't had any to sell recently. I've never used Facebook selling pages before, so I can't comment on that.
I like to do a wardrobe sort out in September too.

I do love a good craft and food fair,we have a good one here in July but of course it was cancelled this year😟 I would buy Christmas presents throughout the year but it takes me nearly all year to persuade myself to spend the Christmas fund and not add it to my EF 😀
I hope your cold doesn't turn into anything nasty xOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1207
