Got an enormous shock when I read that you'd lost Cat. My heart goes out to you (((hugs)))
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

Oh I'm so sorry. But at least with the painkillers and tasty food you made him as comfortable as you could despite not knowingIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!6

Thanks for all your kind messages. Our lovely old fur friend has been buried in our garden in his favourite blanket with a posy of flowers. At least we have a big enough garden to do this. It felt so sad this morning without him sitting with his nose right up to the bedroom door when I opened it, but I know that we made the right decision. The vet was able to do a thorough examination once he was anaethetized ready for his dental & it turned out to be a different problem - a big cancerous mass in his stomach, which wouldn't have shown up on the blood tests. I must admit that it is a relief no longer to be worrying about him & to know that his suffering stopped as soon as he lay down at the vet.
We don't need to go anywhere today, though Mr F seems determined to sort out our neverending hosepipe saga. Mostly we want a gentle weekend at home. We need to do a couple of garden jobs today between rain showers, but we have no more plans than that.
Coffee first........ as always,
