So sorry for you loss NS. It's impossible to imagine what you feel like.
I hope you can manage to get funeral arrangements sorted out. (((hugs)))I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Oh no, NSSL, that is more bad news you just don't need. Life can change so profoundly in such a short time, can't it? I lost one of my two best friends in 2017, followed by my Dad the same year & my Mum the year after. It is a weird time because it completely changes the landscape of your family, but some aspects don't change at all. I hope you can get all the arrangements sorted out at this doubly difficult time.

I've only been to school and back for the past week, apart from popping into the local food shop on the way home. I can't say that I've observed much social distancing in the shop or among the parents at hometime though 🤔.
People just don't seem to get it yet, do they? I can see us all being completely locked down in our homes and gardens at some point soon due to the selfishness of morons who refuse to change their lifestyles and are so entitled that they think they're immune 😡.
Anway enough negative talk. We're lucky if we live with someone, if we have a garden, and if we live in a nice house or flat rather than being isolated in a grotty bedsit 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Afternoon .foxgloves and everyone. Haven’t had time to come on here for last few days, been too pre occupied with coronavirus and the implementation of everything at work etc. Should have come here sooner. I feel at home. Was going to say beware of a rant, but I see you all feel the same! Why don’t so many people get it? it beggars belief in my book. my hubbie is very fit but was diagnosed with a flappy valve - very technical - i one of heart valves a few years ago. his consultant thinks he probably had it since birth and was only picked up in a thorough medical he has yearly for work. it doesn’t affect him at all, he is fit, and is not on medication. he gets a feee flu shot so is now considered high risk and needs to self isolate for 12 weeks, and so do I. on Day 3. we live in a flat and have extensive grounds around us, so plenty of space to walk. it’s so sad to see how many people are acting, and i fear we may be put into lockdown. i have managed to get a couple of delivery slots, but only up to 8th april, don’t know what will happen after that..i have a reasonable amount of supplies, but fear running out of fruit and veg, don’t have much freezer room.
foxgloves: i can’t find out how to quote something four pages back, but in reference to the crystallised flowers, yes that is exactly how my granny and I did them.
i have lists of everything in my house and worked out how’s many portions of rice, spaghetti etc I have. we decided to do portion control in everything and make our food eek out as much as possible. with you on the toilet roll! trying to get hubbie to portion that. he just looks at me blankly! i think we go through two a week between us, and want to be able to stretch that out. i have to have mini challenges if going to be in isolation for so many weeks!!!
will sign off now and see there is another Boris briefing in ten mins. not sure what to expect except complete lockdown.

HHoD - Yes, I'm definitely feeling gratitude for the good things. At least I can stride up & down my garden with my Fitbit on if I need a bit of exercise.
My Mum would have said we must "be thankful for small mercies", which was one of go-to phrases in difficult times, when she could have quite bad anxiety.

SavingMore - Yes it is such a worry keeping vulnerable family members safe when so many people appear just not to 'get' social distancing. I think there was too much woffle from Johnson & Hancock to begin with when they were telling people to isolate if they had symptoms. We know that virus sufferers are symptom-free to begin with & some have no symptoms at all while still testing positive. So I think a stronger message from the start would have been helpful. It was essential, actually, & didn't happen.
I think the other issue is people saying they understand the need for social distancing, but there is a big 'but' in their case.... a reason why it doesn't apply to them. For example, our local NHS Trust posted on FB last night that visiting rules had become much much stricter. People should attend any appointments on their own, etc. I don't know what made me wind myself up by reading some of the comments. About two thirds were accepting & positive. They fully understood the need for this & it was the right move, etc. The others?? Oh my days.... people saying could they bring their 3 children because they're off school, people saying it's not fair if their partner/mother/Uncle Tom Cobbley & all can't come because they always bring them & they'll want to come, etc, until an off-duty nurse from the Trust said 'No. I'm sorry, but these rules have had to be made & are there for your protection as well as that of patients & key workers'.
This is a global pandemic. These are not normal times. It really wound me up as had just watched the news from Italy which was so sad & grim, I cried.
I do intend to pop back with today's post, & I'm not going to mention CV in it today, if possible.
See you soon.
