    Boxing Day Greetings everyone,
Enjoying ourselves very much & being well looked after. We've played lots of games, watched old TV Christmas specials & I'm now knitting the toe of a lovely pair of socks for myself. I've thus dodged a game of Harry Potter Cluedo, which I think is looking like a smart move as it looks fiendishly complicated to set up & youngest nephew is needing to take regular chocolate breaks.
You know, it's funny. I am absolutely itching to get into the kitchen to dismantle the remains of the turkey, divide up the meat for batch cooking, get the carcass into the cauldron for stock, etc, but I can't! It's not my turkey!!
So for me, the joys of Christmas fridge findings will have to wait for a little while yet.
And Mr F is still holding out for a yellow stickered turkey. I think he'll be lucky actually, but he enjoys the thrill of the chase.
Well my festive little stuffing balls, I'll be back with you soon.
    Take care now.
    F xx

    Thanks m'dears!
Yes, we have had a lovely time with my sister, b-in-law & nephews in London. We are home now & apart from one cloggy bottleneck of traffic, the journey was OK. Sitting by the fire now with a steaming hot coffee in my snowy robin mug & looking forward to collecting cat tomorrow.
Lots of lovely presents, foodie bits & salvaged wrappings to sort out, but I shall enjoy doing all that tomorrow. It truly feels like we have been away for ages, which is ridiculous as we only drove down there on Christmas Eve!
Anyway, hope you're all enjoying the evening - stay warm, love those leftovers & don't throw out any wrappings which might provide you with a free shopping from home opportunity next year!

Glad you had a lovely break and that the journey home was good. Nothing like a traffic jam to change a good mood to bad and as I have the dubious pleasure of frequenting the M25 I never take for granted a smooth journey from A to B.
Will the cat be pleased to see you or will they sulk?
Do you make new year's resolutions?
  • Glad you had a lovely time Foxgloves,I've still not got my appetite back yet so we have loads of food that's not been eaten yet. I'm going to be eating it for months at this rate

  • In true Foxgloves style, we wrapped all but 2 of the presents we gave in reclaimed wrappings. We all claimed used wrappings & ribbon for future use, my sister did the same.
