I got the parking fine months and months ago but was advised to ignore it. It’s telling me to contact DRP (debt recovery plus ltd) to discuss the payment.
This is not a Fine, who issued the parking charge, what type of car park was/is it, and who's car park was it?From the Plain Language Commission:

When you get either a Letter of Claim or official court papers then post again on this thread....where should I post when they post the next letter?
Please do not post again when you receive more debt collector's letters. We don't really need to see any more and you now know exactly what to do with them.

For the moment, Post Four of the Newbies Sticky will sort you out nicely - Then take some time to read the rest of the thread to inform yourself properly and prepare for what might happen next.
And yes, telling us the original/issuing PPC will help - We know the MOs of all of them and can probably give you a meaningful opinion of the likleyhood of them taking it any further.

Hi all,
I received a letter from Gladstone’s stating I owed a large sum of money amounting to £560 or £630 I can’t quite remember as I was told to ignore it and throw the letter away so can’t recall the exact amount. That was a few months ago now and hadn’t received anymore letters until I got this one the other day, they seem to be sending them to my old address which is my parents and use the wrong name.
The latest letter is an LBC but states they’re only after £160 for some reason, can anyone help? I know a few of you are going to say “look here” or “look there” on different threads but I’m doing this thread because I’m getting easily confused with all the other threads so I could really do with it being dumbed down as that would be much appreciated
Thanks
This was copied and pasted from a thread I just made, please as I stated I’m not being rude I just don’t understand it so please would someone explain in simple terms and not tell me to read a newbies thread, this is the reason I’m doing it as I get very very easily confused I just need someone to tell me what to do0 -

It does not work like that. This is a complicated subject and you either have to get to grips with it, or pay them. People here can help you, and you have to put in the hours. Watch this video.
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

Gladstones do get confused, they are not professionals
which of course results in the courts whooping them
with dodgy claims
And Gladstones have given you a dodgy claim as well.
The £160 is the dodgy part, they have added a fake amount
of £60 which came from the dodgy debt collectors and
they simply cannot claim that amount.
You must reply to an LBC
The LBC must prove to you their claim and that includes
how they have arrived at the figure stated.
They must also give you 30 days to respond.
So now, you can ask the questions and in particular how
they arrive at £160 when the base price is £100
We could tell you right now about the £60 but let
Gladstones tell you and let them fabricate their story,
let us know what they say
Right now they are trying to extort money from you
It seems like you will receive more from them but
they will all be the same0 -
as happened previously in this case
WHO does this LBC letter say must be paid ?
DRPL or GSLcollections ?
does the reference start with a 3 (DRPL) or a 1 ? (Gladrags)
if it is from gladrags themselves, then you must issue an LBC rebuttal as seen in numerous recent similar threads on here , so just find one and adapt it and send it to gladrags direct
if its another DRPL load of rubbish, IGNORE it
ps:- NOBODY here told you to thrown any paperwork away, you should keep ALL paperwork for 6 years
personally, I would also send the actual PPC a SAR using the GDPR 2018 to get all evidence, docs and pics and signage details etc too
in future, tell us WHO the letters are ACTUALLY from , just because the letterhead says GLADRAGS doesnt mean a thing , the CONTACT details are what matters0 -
You know Redx, these guys should be locked up
and put in different prisons so they cannot dream
up another scam.
Hurley and Davies have tried very hard to split up
Gladstones and the IPC/IAS, they failed as the new
bill demonstrates
Which MP is going to instigate a police investigation
about the Hurley/Davies scam ???
Maybe Sir Greg Knight will get egg on his face if his
bill allows these money scammers to continue ?0
