NoBut they both say payment can be made online (on the back of the letters), which is what i did when i logged into my RMG account. I logged in and makde a payment of £350. On the back of each letter it asks me to login to my RMG account to make payment which is what i did.
@AdrianC and @BorisThomson this would be my reply to you both too.
The invoice certainly doesnt.
Does it give the same details? ie 'Use your rmg lving login'?
Does it mention using refernces? Im assuming the telephone payment reference on the top letter includes the invoice number thats blanked out. Where as the reference for the second letter is different and relates to that account?0 -
To be completely fair to the OP, he appears to have sent the correct amount of money to the company in good faith. On the face of it it would seem difficult for them to demonstrate either material loss or breach of contract.
I suggest you go to the CAB for the *however long* of free legal advice you can get and they will most likely suggest the best way forward.0 -
I think any half decent company can see youve made the payment and just assumed it was supposed to be all in the 1 account. Id have done the same if i didnt know different. How hard is it for them to just transfer the extra money from 1 account back to the other? and tell the debt collectors to pee off!!!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. So, again, nothing whatsoever on there suggests you can pay using a bank transfer.
Which is what you did, using references for a different payment completely. The overpayment you sent to that other account will simply sit as a credit, with future service charges being set against it. Which is what you intended when you overpaid anyway...0 -
I tried reading the first post and lost the will to live0

What are you talking about? i never paid via bank transfer. I logged into my RMG account and paid using my debit card on their site under my account.0 -
Perhaps this whole thread would be a bit easier for everybody if your original post wasn't such an impenetrable tangle?0

Why are the old timers so nasty to the newbies??? you can clearly see from the post count and badges/ stickers who sits on the forums 24/7 giving out advice/ insults.
