Getting a MAC code from Tiscali

Good morning
We are transferring to Sky + TV plus broadband and phone package so need a MAC code from Tiscali. Read a thread last night re mixed success but remaining positive!
Have phoned 0871 2223311 Tiscali no. just now and only given option of actually cancelling (automated asking for phone no. so didn't go any further). Only wanted to ask for MAC code - didn't want to actually cancel broadband etc right now.
Can anyone advise? (would I have been able to get the MAC code via this route and not have to cancel at present?)
