Got flashed going through a red-light Help!
Hi, thanks for viewing
My fault, was late for work and thought I could make it but obviously didnt, they sent an initial letter to confirm it was me which I responded yes to, maybe I shouldnt have now as explained on nopenaltypoints site

Anyway, now I have the 2nd letter giving me the 3 options:
1. Educational course for £85 Ouch!
2. £100 + 3 points Ouch!!
3. Take it to court
They havent sent any photographic evidence, can I consider option 3?

They obviously have evidence, otherwise how have they identified you.
Option 3 would no doubt work out much more expensive.0 -

3. Take it to court

You know you did it, so why on earth would you want to challenge it in court?
I'd take the first option, which looks to be the best value for money. Unless you have to lose a days pay to go on it, e.g. you've no annual leave you can take.0 -
If you believe you didn't do it and the camera was faulty then of course you should contest this.
If you ask they may send you the photos they have0 -
Take the course. No points and option 3 will cost you hundreds and get you points.0

You’re not entitled to any evidence until you opt to go to court and enter a not guilty plea.0 -
Do the course. As well as being the cheapest option, your license stays clean, and you probably will not have to declare it to your insurer0

Option 1, option 2 requires you to tell your insurance company so may also cause an increase in premiums for several years.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Do the course. You can attend one in your local area, and have a choice of dates.0
