Space rent contract question
Comments
-
The rent is only £50 a week, and I can't really afford a solicitor. I know I can buy a contract from a website, I just needed some minor advice on the issue mentioned in the first post.
The amount is irrelevant. If you were charging just £1 a week or even a single grain of salt a year, this is enough consideration to create a formal tenancy.
As you are charging them rent I assume you want them as a sub tenant? If so you definately need solicitors advice and so does your tenant.
If you don!!!8217;t want to create a tenancy don!!!8217;t intimate this by at any time stating the charge is a rent, accepting it as rent, creating invoices or receipts which state it is rent.
The terms need to be clear. Anything from the internet won!!!8217;t be if you don!!!8217;t know what you want.
Getting a lawyer to prepare a simple licence agreement (if this is what you want) won!!!8217;t be expensive.0
