                    Hi everyone
I have just received court order for parking debt, which i do not want to pay. the address they have is wrong is where i never lived and has not linked with my credit history..if i get that ccj and i don't pay it would it show in my file,,they do not have my date of birth, just have my name and wrong address.
i am not attending the court or challenging the debt, if it would affect my credit file then it should also affect other people of similar name as mine living at different places in uk.
the claimant and court only have my wrong address which is at different council and different town and county.
my worry is would it show in my file as i am very cautious about my credit history.
i would be grateful for any advice.
regards

Did you park where they say you did when they say you did?
If not you need to challenge it. You will receive a CCJ on your file if it can be linked to you.2.88 kWp System, SE Facing, 30 Degree Pitch, 12 x 240W Conergy Panels, Samil Solar River Inverter, Havant, Hampshire. Installed July 2012, acquired by me on purchase of house in August 20170 -
How did you receive it if the address is wrong and you have never lived there? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

yes i parked there, but did not challenge, the time is over for challenge...how would they link that address with me?..
it is my friends address where i planned to move a year ago but never moved nor have any financial link with that address. my friend lives there who told me about the letter0 -
OK, they normally send it to the address of the keeper. It is, I believe, illegal to have the vehicle registered at the wrong address, you will have to correct this PDQ.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Did you ever tell the DVLA that was your address?2.88 kWp System, SE Facing, 30 Degree Pitch, 12 x 240W Conergy Panels, Samil Solar River Inverter, Havant, Hampshire. Installed July 2012, acquired by me on purchase of house in August 20170

I assume they got the address from the DVLA? They would link it to you if they found you weren't at that address and traced you to another address.
There are lots of people who leave debts at an address that then get a CCJ and end up at some point getting i linked back to them.0 -
dvla always had my wrong address. i have sold the vehicle so no need to update the address on previous vehicle.
experian told me that they put the ccj on file after 2 weeks of the decision, if that happens i will pay £350 penalty.
i am thinking how they will link me with that address when i didnt have anything to do with that address.
and who will link my address court or experian?
any opinions will be greatly appreciated

            Hi jony
If you are worried about your credit history you need to be cautious about ignoring the CCJ. It sounds like you acknowledge this is your debt, even if the address is wrong. That means you would not have grounds to challenge it being recorded on your credit file, if that does eventually happen.
If you do not pay off a CCJ within a month of it being made it can be recorded on your credit file for 6 years. Although it may not be clear how the credit reference agencies will link the CCJ to you, it's not out of the question this may happen. If you wait too long you may miss your chance to avoid it being recorded.

Actually i am out of country and won't be back before april.
i have read about the claimant LEC normally do not turn up in the court.
should i notify the court about the claim received and my situation or should i quietly wait and see.
what do you recommend
