I was with my sister she said it was like being stripped. when we got back into the car we both cried. For one she didn't know how much I was dealing with because I have always hidden things even though she came to my home and did things for me she said she never thought it was because I needed her to do them. She just has always been mothering.
She don't realise how much my son does for me because she has her own family and works full time. I don't want pitying and that horrible voice thing that people do. It will take me time to rebuild my inner strength because at this minute I am not in a good place0 -

I don't know whether you would have felt more comfortable on "home turf" - but perhaps you should have requested a home assessment ?
In any case - you ought to contact RNIB (http://www.rnib.org.uk/information-everyday-living-benefits-and-concessions-benefits-people-working-age/personal) for support - unless you have already done this ?0
