Evening all
To give a little background, a couple weeks ago parking notices popped up in a semi-local Tesco which previously had done without infestation from a PPC, a little digging around on the council website highlighted that planning permission hadn't been applied for these signs and I lodged a query with the planning department
Well tonight they have got back to me
Oh deary me, Horizon caught out without going through the proper measures :rotfl:

Dear Kite,
I write with reference to the above enforcement matter that you brought to the Council’s attention.
I can confirm that a site visit has now been undertaken and it has been determined that the Horizon Parking advertisements located within the car park of the Tesco Superstore in *Place* are considered unlawful as they do not benefit from either deemed or express advertisement consent, nor are they considered exempt, under the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007.
On this basis, I have today contacted Tesco and Horizon Parking to outline the above and request that either the unlawful advertisements are removed from display or an advertisement application is submitted to the Local Planning Authority seeking consent to display these signs. Please be advised that the submission of such an application does not guarantee that consent will be granted, only that the submission will be considered against the relevant policies in place.
I have given Tesco/Horizon Parking until Friday 09 March 2018 to confirm their intentions in writing in this regard and should they wish to proceed with submitting an application, this would be required within the next 28 days.
I trust this clarifies our position in this matter at this time and I will ensure that you kept updated on the progress of this matter over the coming weeks.
Oh deary me, Horizon caught out without going through the proper measures :rotfl:

Love it ..... Tesco thought they were Smart by using their
own staff to scam their customers by taking pics with
cameras provided by Horizon
The time is right is for Tesco to kick Horizon and the other scammers out forever.
WILL THEY, doubt it, my experience of Tesco is that they
hold customers in contempt ?
Maybe that's why they are looking at opening a CHEAPO TESCO
brand to compete with those german boys
Talk about living in cloud cuckoo land :rotfl:0 -

I wonder if anyone has received a PCN there and paid? Maybe a question to put to the BPA and DVLA with a demand for an investigation if that has been the case.

Surely that should beI have today contacted Tesco and Horizon Parking to outline the above and request that either the unlawful advertisements are removed from display or an advertisement application is submitted to the Local Planning Authority seeking consent to display these signs
the unlawful advertisements are removed from display AND an advertisement application is submitted
Maybe you should follow up with them to remind them that you cannot apply for advertising consent retrospectively.0 -
