Problems with TOTO Energy

Have they blessed the rains in Africa?0

Hi Guys i am in the same boat with Toto, I am using under £100 a month of energy (dual fuel) but they are charging me £146 a month.
I have emailed them multiple times but just get either a pre written scripted email or no reply at all.
Also i can't seem to find my credit balance on the website anymore, can anyone give me a heads up as i need the balance for when i escalate it.0 -
I'd advise everyone to AVOID Toto!
They have been an absolute nightmare to deal from from delays in setting up account access, to unavailable bills, unreadable 'smart' meters to the latest round of atrocious 'customer care' when I'd had enough and left them.
Four days ago I received a final statement email from them that began:
"Sit back and relax, you don't need to do anything.
We wanted to get in touch to let you know your latest statement is available in your My account area. The good news is you're already paying by direct debit so you don't need to do anything."
Today, I received an email from their collections department saying that as I hadn't paid my credit rating was in jeopardy!
Far from "having to do nothing" I've just had to spend almost an hour talking to two staff and a manager to get an explanation that THEY had cancelled my payment (my Direct Debit is still in place) and had accidentally inappropriately "advanced my non-payment" - which they admitted was their fault!
Do yourselves a HUGE favour folks and AVOID THEM!0 -
Does anyone know why Toto's offices are closed at the the moment? I have been trying to get through to them for a couple of days as I have overpaid my final bill but no one is answering as office is closed.0

I've emailed every address I can find for them multiple times about the issue above your post and received not a word in reply...
Too much to hope that they are all having some training in even the basics of customer service?!0 -
Toto are absolutely THE WORST company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with - even worse than BT! I never did get the promised written apology and confirmation that my issues above were their fault - and they are still trying to take money from me even though my account is closed and settled in full!
Awful, awful, awful!0 -
Just like all of these threads, my Toto Saga is a combo of them all
I joined Toto back in 1 May 2017, the plan was the Discount Variable Saver with an estimated annual cost of £904.41, guaranteed until 29 April 2018.
There email stated," Sit back, relax and watch the savings." Now I understand prices change slightly, hence my Direct Debit changes over the year between £75 & £98, the last being taken out on 1 May 2018.
Having seen that Toto was hiking up their prices l decided to change supplier. All was going well , however l may have jumped the gun after joining my new supplier and cancelled Toto's DD after the last payment (£98) was taken from my account. I then noticed they tried to take another 10 days later, which was obviously declined
l have now received a final bill from Toto saying l owe over £600, I don't think in all my years using energy that l have been in arrears that much. Surely they should have kept an eye on my usage from my meter readings to avoid this. This was to be paid by 2 June.
For days l have tried telephoning to speak to an agent about the matter, to no avail. I have replied to emails, but again no help there.
l can only suspect that l am getting for want of a better expression,"The Bums Rush" because l am no longer a customer, or maybe they did this hoping l would have to stay put to clear it.
I have now received a new email stating, " As we haven!!!8217;t heard from you yet, and your payment of £561.68 is now severely overdue, we!!!8217;ll be passing your account to a debt collection agency shortly. They may visit you at home or take legal action against you, so it!!!8217;s important you call us to stop this from happening."
Laughable as l have called daily since this started happening, and furious about it all is an understatement :mad:0 -

I wanted to be the first person to give you a warm welcome to MSE.
Finally, after more than7 long years since you opted to join this forum, there seems something you decided was worthwhile posting about.
I'm sure people will make up their own mind, but I think we should all thank Toto for getting you to finally make that first post.
I'm sure this site will be so much better in the future now you've broken your duck after 7 long years, and I feel sure this site will be so much better for it. Do keep up with your posting now you've started... I'll certainly be looking out for your next invaluable contribution. :T.0 -

Any particular reason you are being so charming?
(In the last year you've only made around 100 posts yourself).0 -
