I haven't appealed yet so I will do just that.. Thank You
"And when you say 'letter' you don't mean snail mail to the black hole at PE, I hope!" Not sure what you mean here?0 -
Don't mail an appeal!
Email it0 -
Oh yes, that is what I intended to do. I should have typed "email as it is"..
Thank You0 -
Parking Eye habitually fail to comply with POFA 2012, Paragraph 14, specifically sub paragraph 2a....
Mention that, and the ticket will likely go on their debt collection pile, rather than the court claim pile.
If you go down the POPLA route, it "should" be an easy win, but personally I don't have much faith in POPLA. Your experience may differ though.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
So does that mean that PE may not have the right recover any unpaid parking charges without the following?
(a)a statement signed by or on behalf of the vehicle-hire firm to the effect that at the material time the vehicle was hired to a named person under a hire agreement;
(b)a copy of the hire agreement; and
(c)a copy of a statement of liability signed by the hirer under that hire agreement.0 -
Yes, that's exactly what it means.0

Morning All, its been 27 days since the date of my parking incident and we still haven't received a re-addressed pcn from Parking Eye. Can anyone tell me how long Parking Eye have to re-issue the letter?0

Tried reading the newbies thread again?
The deadliens for them to comply in order to comply with Hirer liability are given there or in POFA.
Do your research before asking then come back if you cant find it.0 -

Are you certain you have even been named? You said the lease firm had named your company, but not that anyone had named you or given your home address, so if no-one has, you won't get one sent to you personally, until someone does.
Unless you own the company and open all letters yourself, check that your employers are not sitting on a fresh PCN that PE has sent to them, with a random, naive young Finance or Fleet clerk not knowing what to do with it, with the risk someone will pay it, then charge you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
