Can my dentist do this? Isn't this discrimination?

There is.

Ile read the links as a courtes,y thank you.
Im not going to persevere with posting on your thread given that i have commented on the fact that my belief is that is not helpful.
Given my 30+ years working in severe and enduring mental health I also am starting to feel discomfort with some of the content of this thread.
IMHO thresholds for "disability" have altered in such a fashion over my time in the NHS that I now try and avoid discussion like this, which include persons i do not know, in order to not cause offence.
Thanks to your more recent postings I am now far more convinced that you are wrong in your assertions than i was when i (mistakenly) joined the thread in an effort to assist you.
Im out. Goodnight all.0 -

Which content in particular?
Are you going to offer any explanation or counter argument in reaching such a dramatic conclusion? Hmmm... Your evasive post does look a bit empty I'm afraid.
If I don't get a response, I'll put things down to a bruised ego.
Anyway, have a pleasant evening.0 -

In this case I will argue the dentist sought to end the relationship because i was a difficult/complex patient to care for and manage in terms of my chronic pain and appeared grumpy and withdrawn (as a consequence of my disability).
I would also argue that my depression results in me thinking negatively and causes irritability, giving the impression i am not happy with someone.
Aha! You had a pop at the dentist didn't you? Why else would you mention this?
I'm willing to bet that the female dentist felt you were being aggressive. It is her right, as a healthcare professional, not to feel threatened at work.
Let this drop and concentrate your efforts on dealing with your pain and depression. Push for new meds and a referral. It'll ruin your life otherwise.
Listen, at the end of the day, you're getting 5k of implants for free (at the point of delivery). Can't you just be happy about it? Your teeth are getting sorted. Plenty of people (myself included) would be damn grateful for that.0 -

Nope, simply not true. I was never disrespectful or any way threatening. Also, this doesn't appear to be the reasoning used by her.
I've tried all the medications under the sun unfortunately and exhausted all therapeutic options.
I am damn grateful for the implant treatment (if you actually believe I'm getting them unlike some), but I just don't like being walked all over or treated unfairly.0 -
If they do not have the ability, skills, expertise or experience to treat you In the first place why would you insist on continuing to see them anyway??
Lack of skills on their part is not discriminatory against you. It’s them not being able to manage you properly.0 -

Yes, if they had made that clear all along I would have no issue. I would find it curious as to why they couldn't carry out routine dental investigations though, alongside carrying out normal dental duties.0 -

The OP cannot understand that they might have acted in a way that has caused all this.
They are not willing to listen to anyones views that contradict their own view.0 -

Yes, baza, you've made it pretty clear who's side you are on here. How about you apply some of this to yourself and perhaps consider that I didn't act in any way unreasonably?0
