No water bill in 18 months

Hello all,

We have been in our rental for 18 months and have realised we have never had a water bill. My husband said something about our landlords saying we don’t pay for water and not to worry about it. It’s a big block of flats so could it be something that’s included in the service charge? There is nothing in our lease about paying for water and only mentions utilities including electricity, phone and broadband, and council tax.

We will ask our landlords directly but just wondering if that is actually a thing where it’s included in a service charge as opposed to paying individually? There is no water meter in our flat or on our floor from what I can see.

You should check with your landlord but with some large blocks it's included as part of the service charges.

Are you in Scotland? I believe that it's billed as part of your council tax in Scotland.
