We haven't heard of anybody going to court over this even when they have done absolutely everything wrong.

I suspect between Indigo ZZPS and the train company they don't know how.
  • Thanks waamo, that's reassuring to hear. I'll update this thread on the outcome

No need to reply again, now you have replied.

Next time, follow the NEWBIES Q&A about Indigo cases at railway stations, which is to wait for the NTK and string it out. Read some other Indigo station byelaws threads; they time out after 6 months.
Do I need to pay up?
Nope. Anyone who pays a private parking charge is either daft, naive, hasn't got the internet, can't be bothered to research, or has more money than sense. I'm sure you are none of those!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I did the same!
I parked in a train station carpark- Entered my Reg no ticket came out so stupidly thought it was a AMPR parking - only have my bank statement as proof. - like you my appeal was rejected with Indigo but I was given a popla code to appeal with them- BUT that!!!8217;s now been held up for over 8 months over something to do with th department of Transport and Byelaws!

I got my ticket in March 2017- and I!!!8217;m still batttling everyday - ive now wrote to my MP who!!!8217;s been in contact with Indigo..

But unfortunately my fine was paid by my father who has letters sent to him while in apeal processing..

So now I!!!8217;m battling to get the money back.

And in your case Steve Clark of the BPA is surely investigating, Mummy2211?

  • I also use Lewes station car park from time to time. The sign at the entrance (easy to miss as are most of the signs, but it's on the left at the bottom of the narrow road down to the car park) talks about "Pay on Foot". I asked Indigo what they mean by this and today got a reply which says:

"Just to clarify a pay on foot car park means a payment has to be made as per the instructions, however you are not required to display a confirmation of payment."

I suggest you take a photo of the sign.
