Where have all the colours gone?
Cack brown and blue are a surprise to me. I thought German cars only came in 50 shades of grey. I think it is the law over there.0 -
I was playing with the Volvo configurator at the weekend and the options were White, Black, Silver, one Blue and 3 Greys. A mid-blue, not Navy surprisingly. I can only guess that resale value is still such a big driver that more interesting colours don't sell well except on small "fun" cars. Which is a shame - I'd like a strong metallic maroon (like Jaguar Morocco Red) or a proper dark brown (like Land Rover Bournville Brown) to stand out. Even Indigo Blue and Forest Green are disappearing.
Why was I looking at Volvos? The XC40 is launching this week and if you go to your dealer on Thursday for the launch party - there's a chance to win one. Comes in at about £35K as it happens.I need to think of something new here...0 -
Looking at Autotrader suggests you could possibly get three of them for your £35k. That would give you a better than even chance of having at least one working all the time.
True enough! I'd probably only buy the one though, find a really nice one for 15-20K and keep the rest for the inevitable repairs...0 -
Merc C class. Used.
Go to YouTube to watch Mercedes 'how to' videos. Car !!!!!! IMHO. Interiors are works of art.0 -
I would buy a red one
I pick it up on Friday. A red Skoda Octavia 245 vRS. Cost less than £35k too :money:"We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -

I blame it on "50 shades of grey""A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

A Rover P5b in any of BRG, maroon or navy blue would do me just fine.0
