Texts only offer/bundle/pack?

As market is slowly getting mobile data-oriented it's slowly getting tricky to to find right SIM for monitoring/alerting systems.

Is there any right tariff for such use? I need texts pack, as cheap as possible.

I'm happy to buy texts pack as long it doesn't limited to 30 days. But all add-ons I can see are 1-month only. That's ridicoulus.

1p mobile appears to be tempting, where £10 gives 1000 texts, but requirement to top-up every 4 months is a real deal-breaker, as I'm just not planning to send 250 texts a month.

Any other ideas?

Three are only 2p a text but it depends on how many texts you will be sending whether 1p Mobile are cheaper.

O2 are also 2p, might be better if in an alarm box type scenario having 2G 900Mhz capability as well.

As mentioned above, 3 charge 2p per text on payg but you don't have to top up at a specific time in the future.

If you only send 1 text a month, your initial £10 loading will last for decades.
