Gazumped! What are my rights????

Hey OP!
I cannot add more helpful info than what Richard Webster has just said. I can only tell how I sympathise, having been in that situation ourselves: our purchas eont he first house we wanted fell through. The official reason was because the wife got very sick over the weekend and could not work anymore (a bit early to pronounce yourself, isn't it) so they had to go back to their house on which the mortgage was payed off. Now, the real reaosn I suspect was that we were gazumped and not told about it: one of my friends lives round th corner from that place and a young family was there, not the elderly non-working couple there should have been. We lost 800 pounds in the debacle and no way to get any of it back.
Every thing happens for a reason, we now are in a better house and in a quieter location. I am not a religious person by no means, but I do believe in Serendipity. I hope a good case of it comes your way."Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye
