How can I do that? All I can say is "this laptop isn't very old and rarely used and never on the internet"0 -
But they can wash their hands of it until a court says otherwise. It's beyond 6 months so they need to do nothing until the OP proves their case.
Its one thing asking a consumer to prove the fault is inherent, its quite another to tell them that its out of warranty so not our problem.
The latter is likely to mislead consumers into thinking they have no possibility of claiming against the retailer outside of the warranty period. As sort of proven by OP responding to my post with:ThatBloke01 wrote: »But if the warranty is finished are they not within their legal rights?

Choose 'Download tool now' and follow the instructions to create installation media, no key will be required if the laptop has had Win10 previously.0 -

Have you made sure that there isn't a hidden system restore partition on the hard drive?
If you look on Google for your particular model of laptop and how to do a factory restore then you may well find something.0 -

Not too many non business users would only buy a laptop for giving Powerpoint presentations and if these are being given as part of a business venture then consumer rights wouldn't apply.0 -

If the virus checker software has caused the problem, wouldn't you need to pursue it against that company?0
