ccjs on my credit reports

Hi,
I am new here so please be gentle, it's my first post.
My issue is that there are 2 CCJs on my credit report that have all my details such as address and date of birth correct however the first name is completely wrong not even similar. I am Malcolm and he is Steve !!!
Needless to say, they are not mine, even Northampton Court confirmed to me that my name
is clear of any CCJs. Should I apply for them to be set aside at my own expense? Should I keep fighting Experian to remove them? Experian seems to think that I used 2 names even though they are completely different !!!
I have just moved address now and hoped that my imaginary twin brother has not followed me but unfortunately he seems to have come with me. I ordered 4 different credit agencies reports today and my once excellent credit score is now very poor on all of them..
Please can someone advise me of the best course of action.
Many thanks.

Ignore the score. It will go up and down. And no doubt will go up once this is sorted. Anyways.
Contact the CRA'S showing the CCJ and ask them to remove them.
Have you also contacted Equifax and Callcredit?0 -
Dont pay to get it set aside since its clearly not your fault.
You ordered 4 reports, theres only the 3 agencies so maybe the 4th is just a copy of another one.
Clearscore use Equifax data
Noddle use call credit data
MSE credit club use Experian data
There is maybe another one who uses the data from 1 of the 3 agencies.0 -
Thanks guys for your replies.
I ordered 4 reports: Experian, Equifax, Callcredit and checkmyfile the latter has them all including some unheard of "Crediva" or something like that.. I mustn't forget to cancel them all within 30 days else I'll be £60 out of pocket..
They all have me as poor score though only Experian included the 2 CCJs in their report and Equifax got those CCJs in the attributable data section only. Until now, I always had Noddle and Clearscore and noticed recently my score decreased by a lot which prompted me to dig deeper.
It all must have happened recently because less than a year ago, I checked my Experian as I bought a new car and my score was 976 excellent. Now it is down to 588 poor.
I blew my top at Experian over the phone but they were having none of it so I joined resolver and I gotta wait 30 days for Experian to reply before Resolver takes it to the Ombudsman.Yesterday is History

I dont think its entirely Experians fault.
Remember, your score is only seen by you.0 -

Would you in there position.
They think you are using a second name to get credit and then you got angry.
So someone if the same area with the same DOB and last name as you has bad credit. You can see how that looks.
Have you address details of this person in relation to these CCJ's? Could someone be using you details badly to do this? Have you moved a lot could they have even rented the same house as you once did? Such things can make it look even worse!
What you need is calm investigation. There is a lot of information out there. it will be hard because as you are denying being this person then companies will not give you details. But you can search the truth out.0 -
Northampton CCBC will give you who the debts are with, and you could contact those companies. It could be fraud (someone used your details but changed the first name, or used your middle name*) or mistrace (the debt was by someone else but when that person moved they had to find a where they have moved to and believe this is now you).
Set aside is the wrong method, that's when you know the debt but a CCJ was incorrectly applied for, e.g. sent documents to an address you never lived at.
* some people believe if the name isn't exactly the same as theirs, then its not their debt,e.g. Malc was put as the first name, but they only ever use full name on applications0 -

Also I believe that CRAs have a duty to check the accuracy (at least to a certain degree) of any information provided to them whether by companies or individuals prior to putting it down on one's file. And if there is reasonable doubt, then the info should be put in the attributable data section like Equifax did, hence why I never had a go at Equifax.
At least that's what I think as I am totally unsure how these agencies work nor how does the law governing them work. Sorry Experian if I am wrong but I really believe that it is harsh to ruin my credit especially now that I really could do with a loan to furnish my new house. I had always paid my debt on time every time and never been refused credit during my entire 50 years of living. The whole thing is really stressing me out, I mean 2 CCJs just turn up out of the blue one dates back to 2015 and the other 2017 !!! yet just a few months ago I was flying an excellent 976 experian score!!! I mean "Steve" is not even a real name to most people because it's short for Steven or Stephen and my initial is M not S and my middle name is Patrick so it's like comparing chalk and cheese.. I believe that I acted calmly screaming at a guy over the phone, I tried reaching out for his neck a few times with no avail LOL..Yesterday is History

I tried calling the 2 companies in question but they wouldn't talk to me because my name isn't Steve so I have emailed them now and I am waiting for replies.
I am doing everything I can to get to the bottom of it all and I joined MSE Forums to get more advice from you guys here with experience and more knowledge about how to deal with this kind of situations.
So any advice will be greatly appreciated because this might take weeks or months to get sorted out and I really need a loan now to be honest..Yesterday is History

I am on it like a bonnet. I won't rest till I get to the bottom of it.
I am usually a very calm person but this really hit me hard.
You are right CALM is the key but easy said than done sometimes.
Thanks anyways.Yesterday is History

Lenders do not see the score. It is a guideline (and fairly inaccurate because all lenders use their own criteria) that you see along with your report to give you a general idea of how lender might see you.
You need to dispute the inaccuracies on your report in writing to the CRAs and the Debt Collection Agencies involved. Get written confirmation from Northampton CCBC to confirm that you have no CCJs. State that you have asked repeatedly for these inaccurate records to be removed from your file and that you will go to the ICO if this isn’t done within a reasonable timeframe (30 days).2.88 kWp System, SE Facing, 30 Degree Pitch, 12 x 240W Conergy Panels, Samil Solar River Inverter, Havant, Hampshire.
