ParkingEye and POPLA - a bonfire night scare

There needs to be more light shone on the big corporates who take these companies on, after all they are responsible for the actions of their agents, and the antics of the private parking companies are well known.
Instead of focusing on Smart/Parking eye/CEL etc the focus should be on the car park owner, Morrisons, ASDA, Tesco, ALDI and so on, instead of letting them hide behind the nothing to do with us our car parks are managed by another company bullshyte - its everything to do with themFrom the Plain Language Commission:

A ParkingEye spokeswoman said the company followed the British Parking Association's 'strict' code of practice.
'ParkingEye operates an audited appeals process and encourages people to appeal if they feel there are mitigating circumstances.
'If a motorist disagrees with our decision they have the option to appeal to the independent appeals service (POPLA).
All a load of bunkum spout that you expect from these and in fact any business or large corporation, when in a corner.
Do they really think that the public can't see through this utter drivel they expect will shut people up?
No wonder MP's that are also experts at nonsense speak have finally rumbled them!
The POPLA statement alone tries to give the impression that if you don't agree with our decision the fine upstanding independent appeals people will fairly adjudicate. But of course they don't say that POPLA judge different grounds not mitigation.
No, you disgusting morons you have finally been exposed for the greedy lowlife scum you really are, and the dirty industry has pushed the boundaries to the final lawless frontier.0 -

POPLA is like a secret society which is not transparent which
is of no surprise considering the BPA are involved.
It was not long ago that the BPA decided on the biggest
load of rubbish in their so called history of being fair,
when they employed Wright Hassall as a joke POPLA
Since then the BPA has become a totally useless
organisation and not fit to handle the interests of
the motorist.
They are not needed and must be replaced by a government
run service that does not have a membership base and
probably financed by parking scammers.
The government can do it ... hence ....
The Traffic Penalty Tribunal which works
Impartial, Independent Adjudicators .... which is NOT
something the BPA/POPLA can claim
As far as the long running scam IPC/IAS, we can only
trust government to put a stop to this scam as they
are one particular incestuous organisation who need
to be kicked into the log grass forever0 -
If only an adjudication process similar to not PATAS were to be set up.
I recently went through the process and won without saying a word. The Adjudicator found a flaw in the Council documentation which I had missed.
I was so bemused that I forgot to ask for costs. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Since when has the BPA been about the interests of the motorist?Since then the BPA has become a totally useless
organisation and not fit to handle the interests of
the motorist.
unless I'm mistaken its a private members organisation - a trade association, its sole aim is to look after its members interests, and to further their aims. And those interests are those of the private parking industry and those aims are to further increase their members profit margins.
Any so called consumer stuff is just a veneer put there to make them appear respectable, and while you can wave the code of practice at the PPC's and use it to overturn parking charge notices the COP is there for one reason only- to make the BPA ltd side of things look respectable t the likes of the DVLA, government ministers ( although that veneer appears to have slipped a little) and the morons at the big retailers who allow PPCs to run rampant in their car parks using aggressive means to hassle and pursue motorists who visit their sitesFrom the Plain Language Commission:
