All of which is valid only until the next budget, i.e November. Or sooner, if there's a war/election/ referendum/crisis etc.0 -

band C ??

The V5 will show the g/km figure. It will also show the date of first registration. Simple to work out from those 2 details.
Pre registration has nothing to do with anything (apart from your warranty start date).0 -
Dealers can tax new cars for up to 13 months. I picked min up mid june, and got it taxed to the end of june the following year.
Thanks - how many people were aware that pre-1961 - vehicle tax expired on December 31st - no matter when it was paid for - can you imagine if they tried to bring that back today ?0 -

Vehicles are required to be licensed, but if they are licensed as 'Historic' vehicles (pre 1977), although they are required to be licensed, there is no duty (tax) to pay for the licence.
Pre 1960 vehicles are exempt from MOT testing, but they are required to be licensed, again no duty is payable as they are 'Historic' vehicles.0
