good idea
1600 monthly wage
mortgage and bills = 1150
car (tax, ins, fuel) = 200
food 100
knackered phone - 20 (wont buy a new contract until i can afford one)
im in my OD because I loaned the ex 1500 for a van last Jan which was promised to be repayed. I have deducted this amount from the equity to be repaid
I spent too much last year, trying to live for the moment to be around positive people to help me heal mentally and after my nan passed. Have been living frugally ever since. I was spending too much on food as was jumping between mine and my partners, buying takeaways as the fresh food kept going off as never knew when i would be home

Have a look at the debt free board. On there somewhere you should be able to find a an extensive questionnaire on household expenditure. I suggest you fill it in to get a real view of your expenses. I also suggest you look at frugal eating boards and cancel any subscriptions that you don't need.

Update
Ex was removed from the mortgage finally at the end of April :j
Currently living with new boyfriend and friends in a shared house so cut down on fuel and food costs massively and flat is due to go on the market this weekend! Not the best time of year but aiming for that Boxing Day sweet spot (busiest day of the year apparently) on Zoopla Right Move etc
Much much better mental state, not much better finances but have been just about keeping top of things albeit missing a meal here and there (I have been the frugally frugal :rotfl:)
Wanted to say thank you again to everyone, been a rough year mentally but between support and advice from this site, friends and amazing BF I'm slowly putting all my pieces back together again
Oh, and I have a gig tonight and next Friday drumming for a Rockabilly cover band so 2 x £50 coming my way for fuel for the Christmas family visits
(oh and Mum's amazing Christmas ham should keep me going for a week :rudolf:) 0 -

Female drummer?
Monetise that talent girl! You could gig with cover bands every night of the week!
(Make sure you do a tax return if you do though!)0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
haha that I am! Only been in the band a few months but (including December) will have had 3 gigs since the end of September
I love it, fantastic therapy
to use a variation of my favorite poem (glowworm): I wish I was a drummer, a drummers never glum, cause how could you be sad, when you're pounding on a drum!
And yes of course I'll file when it comes to it, at the moment the money is just replacing fuel costs lost from commuting to practice :P0
