If you want to know how to get a 4% rebate from dell, pm me.

I'm not allowed to post the information on this board (please read), and complain if necessary.

Which is crazy if you ask me as you could be over £16 out of pocket because this information isn't readily available to you, a consequence of these rules.

MSE please note the number of pms I've recieved about these extra rebate is into double figures now and all of these people have found the information useful.

I understand the above provokes controversy so I will limit these comments to this reply and will not discuss the issue further on this or another thread

Hmm and you are doing this out of the goodness of your heart? Sounds like some sort of affliation scheme if you buy through his links you get a discount, he/she also earns a percentage and posting on a website like this, the more people who buy through his links, the more money he would earn. I could be wrong I suppose. You can get a 2% rebate in points from R- points if you are a member, there is links in the blue bar at the top of the forum - MSE would then earn something if you bought through their link. The points are converter into cash when you earn enough points. The other cashback sites all have similar schemes, they are simple enough to join

    Please remove your post,

If I wanted to exploit fellow members I could easily have included my own affiliate link and creamed the profit myself.

I strongly resent yours and other posts of such a nature, they are a nuisance and are ALL posted for personal gain whichever way you try to dress it up

I think you 2 may have got hold of the wrong end of the stick, as he will not earn anything from his referral, yet anyone buying this should get a 4% rebate. More info below.

He's not exploiting members though. He's simply saving them 4%. Can raeble and ben500 explain to me exactly how he's profiting out of this? Maybe if you actually PM him you'll find out that the website that he is recommending doesn't even support referrals.

Please get your facts straight before accusing members.

Not at all as far as I can see he is inviting pm's to obtain the link with his referral because he is not allowed to post it, or do you think anyone with an Rpoints or similar account should just bounce in and out of threads dumping invitations in order to generate income, I have an account and they are clearly discussed in all their merit in the appropriate places in this forum, I don't personally think it appropriate to push my referrals down peoples throats, it just seems every thread is being blasted with this kind of activity and I welcome any measures taken to combat it.

It's NOT A REFERRAL LINK! Have you actually seen the link?

The thing that makes this site great is the fact that everyone is sharing information so that everyone can save money.

I agree that a lot of threads have alot of referral links which generate income for the benefit of the the poster which I dont agree with either.

However, in this instance, I think that Phonix is asking people to PM him so that fellow members save money, and he does not actually personally benefit from it.

I personally think this type of action is commendable.
