Password issue Is it only Ipads?

I got the "password expired after 5 days" message on my Ipad this morning. Ironically, after changing it, I got the same request everytime I attempted to make a post. So I couldn't post a complaint on here about having to change my password, because everytime I clicked on the comment button, it took me to the change password screen! You couldn't make it up.
Anyway, here I am on my laptop (not Apple) and there are no problems. No change password request and I can make this post. So what's going on? The punctuation problem was only on Ipads too I think
