Compers title preference

Silly question, probably, but why not put the entry method at the beginning?
Like:
E: 29/02 (FB) (TW) £100 VOUCHER FOR JOHN LEWIS
(46 chars)
I often think there are loads of titles which could be stripped of content without losing the prize details ... but then again, I ain't posting them ...
Doesn't take much to delete odd words though0 -
hope it's ok to add to thread & its ok with everyone i'm going to start putting (ME) for Multiple Entries as thread title doesn't leave room for the date/prize/multiple entries.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0

Do we know how long this 'temporary' 50 character limit in title threads is due to last?
In an ideal world it would be great to see titles that include lots of info ie:
E 30/04 (RAFF) (ME) Slowcooker
or
E 30/04 (FB L&C TW IG) £50 vouchers for John Lewis
But unless compers (old or new) read this thread or the comping guide (if it is revised to include new rules) then it is probably not going to happen very fast:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Comp titles like these:
E 31/03 (FB) Win Make-up
E 31/03 (TW) Win chocolate
do bug me a bit as I like a bit more info about the prize, for example, is the make-up a luxury brand such as YSL, Clinique, Estee Lauder or a cheaper/unknown brand and is the prize a set of make-up or just a lip-stick? Is the chocolate a brand like Cadbury's, Lindor, Quality Street or a cheaper/unknown brand and is the prize a hamper of chocolate or a bar of chocolate?
So it would be better to see the titles listed as:
E 31/03 (FB) Win a Clinique mascara, lip-stick and blusher
E 31/03 (TW) Win a lge tin of Quality Street:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Generally the title will give an idea of the prize.hertzyabazas wrote: »You're actually asking posters to spend more time listing comp details because you can't be arsed spending a few seconds clicking through a link!Comp titles like these:

{SNIPPED}
So it would be better to see the titles listed as:
E 31/03 (FB) Win a Clinique mascara, lip-stick and blusher
E 31/03 (TW) Win a lge tin of Quality StreetI need to think of something new here...0 -
Not when the Title is "E: 31/12 Win a Goody Bag" and the post consists of a single link to a magazine or "Bloggs and Co."
A second or two yeah... like when the Prize is "Super Silky Shampoo" but it's actually for horses - a certain poster adds (Equine).
Exactly!
I agree totally re the shampoo and goodie bag - there seems to be alot of dog/horse shampoo prizes going at the mo and often goodie bags contain old branded tat like a pen, an XL tee or an umbrella! A few extra details about the prize is always welcome:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
Agree with most who have posted by cutting out 'Win a' and then have both prize and system needed, If the choice is the two options listed above then I would rather see the prize:
E: xx/xx Florida Holiday tw/fb/ig/me/email/gl/rc (48 characters)
Can I ask why it was changed in the first place, was it causing system problems, or keeping someone in a job? :rotfl:Can't Smile Without You0 -
Does the 'E : ' need to be in the title as that takes up a bit of space and some people forget to put it in or don't leave the space so they don't always go in the right place then.
I think leaving the 'Win a' out of the title as they are all comps to win something so it's not needed.0 -

hi, IMHO the E: does need to be added but will leave
the 'Win a' out the of a title to make more room for
the prize details.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0
