Compers title preference

Definitely miss out 'win a...' in a title as it's not necessary on a competitions board.
Not sure how many characters we need to save but how about just using F for Facebook, T for twitter etc (or using a number code if there are ones starting with the same letter although I can't think of any that do).
Other than that, surely the prize is the most important part, then you look more in depth as to whether you're eligible or willing & able etc?0 -

I enter a lot of twitter comps but only for stuff I want or can give to someone. I would rather see something like "E: 01/01 Win baby clothes" than "E: 01/01 win clothes (TW/FB/IG)" but I guess its entirely down to the person posting the competitions.
As it happens they are both easily within the 50 character limit without even touching the "win" to make extra room if required - there must be very few cases where enough prize details and if it's required the competition entry method do not fit.
Just had a look in game over at 3 pages (60 comps) from before titles were shortened - there were only 4 that were over the limit, 2 were web entry, 1 was only over because "win" was duplicated in the title which leaves 1 out of 60 where there was an entry method and title over 50 characters
"E: 08/02 Win a cut & blowdry and makeup application (Salon Based in LONDON) (FB)"0 -
Since the limit on title characters, I think the "win a" needs removing and will often leave enough characters for all the details we need.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

I would rather see the entry methods and where a competition is restricted in terms of postcode or an area be included in the title (with as few characters as possible).
As previously mentioned, mobile users do not have the privilege of tooltips to show the first part of the first post and having to follow the link to find out which competitions you can enter will take up time that could be better spent elsewhere - particularly on Thursday when you have dozens of Bauer radio competitions with postcode limits.0 -

Or at least please put a line in the post tell us whether it's beauty products or dog food.... not just a link to the comp. I know some of you post dozens and thank you for it but it's a pain to click through twice to work out what the promoter actually sells...
You're actually asking posters to spend more time listing comp details because you can't be arsed spending a few seconds clicking through a link!
Jesus, the mind boggles!0 -

Generally the title will give an idea of the prize.
I've been using the no "win a" in title method which does help and not putting a space between words (Not ideal but every spare character helps)A strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0 -
Hee hee - when I read the title of this poll, it did cross my mind that it might be asking us which title we prefer eg Miss, Mrs, Master..... etc! I know there are a few comp companies who ask if you are known as Master, Sir, Madam, Doctor, Lord, Lady etc, and I am often so tempted to click on 'Lady' before I chicken out! If I chose Lady, I'd be worried incase I won and they expected to post my prize out to some castle or large country mansion!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Anyway, I would prefer the comp titles on here to state the end date, prize and method of entry - but to keep it as short and sweet as possible - so just a simple E:21/03 Thorntons Egg (raff) would be enough for me rather than E:21/03 Win a fantastic Milk Chocolate Thornton's Egg in time for Easter (raff), which would probably not all be visible at first glance.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
