Armybike.......Yep - I've had the extra £20 added by British Gas to my Quidco earnings too .........for same reason - only I changed from CE2 to CE40

Personally I wouldn't go back to British Gas if they were offering £600 on Quidco!
:rolleyes:0 -
If you are thinking of a new boiler and want them to come and quote , BG via quidco pay £40 if you book the appt online.Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Hi Everyone. Am in the process of changing my g&e from edf to powergen. Checked on comparison sites and powergen were right at the top. i think npower may have been cheaper but don't like their rep from when i used to work with scottishpower years ago. not only will my g&e be cheaper but i'll get £45 cashback from mrscashback.com and tesco points for my usage. pretty good deal if you ask me....never noted mrscashback.com noted on this site before but they are pretty good for level of cashback and clearance compared to the others i've seen listed. if it's okay here's some info..can't have too many cashback links...
They offer a FREE membership and even give you £10.00 to get you started. Registering is really straightforward and you deal directly with over 850 retailers and for any one that you happen to buy something from they will give you cash back for you to withdraw later.
Once you have registered, like me, you can get a bonus on everything that one of your referrals buys as well as earning cash back yourself.
All that you need to do is follow this link:
http://www.mrscashback.com/refer/?MM448908
Once you have joined they can give you cash back on just about everything that you can think of including Insurance, Holidays, Fashion, Electrical as well as Cosmetics and gifts with the likes of:
Zurich, Direct Line, Natwest, Thomson Holidays, Going Places, Lastminute, Harrods, Dixons, Currys, PC World, Vodafone, Comet, Carphone Warehouse, La Senza, Marks & Spencer – the list is pretty endless
Good Luck!0 -
If you'd used quidco you would be getting £60 for signing up with powergen.
So apart from breaking the rules and posting your affiliate link, you are £15 down as well!0 -
Hi
I signed up for BG over a month ago. It's 'validated' on Quidco - but I have heard absolutely nothing from BG??
DW
RM strikes have caused havoc with the post. Suggest contacting them as your letter may be in the late/lost pile like many others.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
hello,
new to this thread and hoping someone will put my mind to ease...
am with BG for gas and npower for elec; BG upped monthly payments to a whopping £76 last month and so after comparing on various sites moved to dual fuel by scottish power thru quidco...cashback was supposed to be £61
I can only see £42 as validated this morning.
very new to this cashback business...should I put in a query staright away? have had no e-mail confirmation from SP...
arrghhh....what is this independant transporter charge???
See this link about IGT charges:

Smile - plenty of complaints about PGen & SP as well. The same occurs at any company so as you should know from working at one of these places, you have to protect yourself by taking readings at any event.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0

I just hope you all read the small print in the T&Cs carefully (BG's, not quidco's), regarding exactly how long you are now tied to BG for?
Think about it, why would they offer £80 to existing customers, just to switch tariff? (and a cheaper one at that!). What's in it for them? Hmm... I suspect you're about to find out, but I'm not sure you're going to like it...
My honest advice = stay away from BG! They are obviously so desparate for customers that they are paying £80 just to keep existing ones!!! (or rather, tie them down & torture them). If ever there was a sign of a company in freefall, this is it!

Very true Midflight.
It's a nifty way to shift their customer base from non lock in contracts to lock ins...
I wonder what the penalty charges are for early release??? Or whether you cannot swap again now if they bring in another lower priced tariff???:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
