    Oh, ok.

I was confused as you started, and continued on for most of this thread regarding an allegation you had tampered with the meter.
    Is that now all sorted?

Because I would suggest to you that is far more serious than allegedly owing someone a few bob.

If it's is just the money the supplier claims you owe you wish to contest, then you need to let them know by raising a complaint and following the supplier's complaint procedure.

If you fail to do that, but simply do what they will see as a runner without repaying them, then they probably would resort to the small claims court in an attempt to secure what they believe is rightly theirs.

Obviously a CCJ against you would have a significant adverse impact in obtaining a mortgage, so best not to let matters escalate to that stage.

But as I understand it, the money the supplier claims you owe is due to a tampering of the meter.
If not, what other money do they claim you owe them

I have been accused of tampering - and the money they want back is aparrent money i owe them for unpaid usage.
I have been querying this from the very beginning, and i still am.

    Brief Summary:
    Moved in Dec 2015
Switched Electric Supplier to my name on Feb 2016
Between Dec 2015 - Jan 2016 there was apparent Meter Tamper -
(their report states 5 seperate times adding up to roughly 5 days)

From Feb 2016 (Supplier 1) - I as normal topped up my meter 30 times that year to a total of £300
(they say iv unused units of 2015 costing £520)
Jan 2017 Switched to new supplier (supplier2)

From Jan 2017 (Supplier 2) - I as normal topped up my meter 44 times to present day to a total of £380
(they say iv unused units of 1969 costing £360)
Nov 2017 - they decide to replace my meter - so i let them as there replacing all meters - i thought it was normal
January 2018 i get accused of meter tampering. and this is where im at. still trying to sort it.

As well as worrying about that, i was asking about my credit file, as i want to save for a mortgage and dont want things going against me.

And no - i dont have a cannibals farm as mentioned in earlier posts - nor do i smoke it sell it or whatever else you do with it, i literally had a fridge, cooker, tv and kettle when i moved in. then broadband in January, and in 2017 got a freezer and a microwave.
