Talktalk stealth price hike on sim only deal

Dear savers of money,

my sim only deal with talktalk has jumped from£ 4.70 to £8.90 with no notice. I've checked the bill and definitely haven't gone over my allowance Ive only used 47 minutes and 70 mb of data!

No email no notice:mad:

I'll requesting my PAC code if I can ever get through.

    Have you checked your original paperwork? It's not the end of an introductory deal for example? I'm sure we'd be interested to hear their reasoning when you learn it.
  • You are correct, end of a 1 year deal. I will be switching to virgin sim only deal £6 per month with £50 cashback through quidco which works out as £1.83 per month. :j

    Don`t want to high-jack the thread but can TT rep confirm that if I renew my faster broadband contract I will get the free Essential SIM?

    So not a 'stealth' increase but just the end of your discounted deal?
