  • Morning everyone

Bit of a nightmare time at the minute
A ring I've had for 30 years has disappeared off my finger, just about to go through the bedding as I changed the bed yesterday. Will be gutted if its gone forever:(.
My fb account was hacked last night. Fortunately fb shut my account down and messenger really quickly so my account was saved but half my contacts received a message containing a virus and then spent the rest of the evening sorting that out. Everything good now but have put security on my phone this morning where it would have happened. Everything else has security on it.
Then had a message and phone call last night to say emergency electrical work needed to happen at 9pm and could everything be switched off including boiler. Woke up to a cold house this morning but not as bad as I expected but 10 minutes before I had to go round unplugging everything in the middle of the fb hack:(.
Need to pop out quickly this morning but hopefully no money will be spent, RM surveys should cover postage for ebay item:).
Paid a good deposit off a piece of sports equipment that DD needs. It was in a child's account that had turned to an adult account. DD didn't know that the account existed and I didn't know how much was in there but it gave us a good deposit:). Unfortunately the bank then shut the account down. DD said they were totally confused by the account, it was just a children's one that had changed to an adults one but couldn't get their heads round it:(. I wanted it kept open to pop spare monies in for DD for things she needs with her sporting career, the money would be there for her.
When she is home we are going to look for another one to open that will work well for her as a children's bond that she had that has matured with the post office-they have given us the run around with that aswell and still have the money!
On a positive note a nice easy day for me:)
Going to do more hunting for the ring:T
    cat cleaning to do
Ebay items listed are doing well, more things out of the house, very happy about this:T
    some cleaning to do
bought the small easter egg packs on special offer yesterday. family insist on swapping eggs:(. I'm cutting this down this year as it was getting stupid.I don't think some family members will be happy but I just see it as a waste as sometimes you are giving one family member an egg and getting the same one back from them. Have set a budget to do Easter on the cheap with offers and the best bit.......i've only eaten one small thing so far and have hid the rest from myself:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
have a great day everyone x

  • Morning :D I just LOVE the weekends again! That is a bonus with going back to work F/T :D

last night we swerved a takeaway as my bff dropped round a paella & a bottle of wine for a b'day gift for oh! Really need to think of having things in for these occasions now I'm working ft again. Problem with pizzas is oh will just eat them if they are in the freezer!

    Today:

    * I have been pottering around & tidying up the kitchen
    * used the resolver tool to put in 4 PPi claims. Have a few more to do!
    * got kidney beans out of freezer to make carrot, cumin & bean soup
    * got chicken out of freezer for tomorrow's dinner
    * meeting dd at soft play in a bit. will take drinks but get madam a snack
    * going to go and get madam's shoe's measured while passing that way
    * coming home and making an early dinner then going to a friends birthday party this afternoon/evening. Will catch the bus (hic!)
    * need to update spending diary - not sure when!
    * hang washing on line

Ok that seems like all I'll manage to do. Better start getting on! Have a lovely day!

If you have a front loading washing machine and it's ended up in there it would be too big to end up through the drain holes and would get trapped in the drum.

Has it rolled under thee bed? Could you sellotape a wee mirror to a broom handle and look in the dark corners?

  • Many thanks Ally for the suggestions, I've found it!!

I think it would have been a 'trapped in the drum' case but where I found it, it looks like it was caught up in the dirty bedding but fell out on the way to the washing machine. I was so so relieved, it was my grandfathers ring and will get passed down to my daughter.

    Morning folks

HK - that sounds like a beast of a day. I hope today is better!

Will add my list as a I get a chance...

I started the day badly - I have some very bad period pain and took some codeine. Wow. I was off my chops. Couldn't even get out of bed... had to miss the gym!

I confess that yesterday was very un-mse as we spoiled our niece and nephew rotten, but we don't do it often :o plus today's overtime should cover it.

    Today's mission:
    • I'm in work now doing some overtime.
    • Charge phone in work
    • B/L/D from stores.
    • Hubs to do some batch cooking
    • Quick dab of housework
    • No alcohol
    • Maybe try and get out in the sunshine
    • Do Holistrio app
    • Reconcile budget sheet
    • Crochet - start working on another wip... this is the last outstanding one though :T

Oh no, hope it's short lived. Feel better.
  • Thank you CLF:)
Well the day has been better than yesterday, abit strange but by the sound of it everyone is having some strange or none existent days.
Mine was a bit odd as .......I did some ironing:eek:!! needed to iron one thing for tomorrow for a sporting event and ended up doing a few more bits, first time in what seems like forever...still have 2 mount ironing Everests but have been getting some washing out and have been able to fold, air and put away without any ironing. Long may it continue:j!

Also updated my spends book, filed some paperwork and shredded some aswell.
Was going to do a beef dinner with some YS cooked beef but couldn't be bothered and had a beef sandwich where it was a close call with the cats who continually tried to mug me.
A reduced YS cupcake and custard for pudding. Have packed another of the YS cupcakes for tomorrow and will attempt to make a beef sandwich to take with me in the morning.
Another item listed on ebay, haven't been this efficient in ages:rotfl::rotfl:

have a great Saturday evening everyone x
