Why do some threads have a SPAM button while others a REPORT button?

    If you can't see a spam button, then reporting would be good. Just one post per spammer, mentioning that they have multiple posts/threads.

    I'm just grateful the between-posts timer is no longer triggered by the spam button, as where I found a prolific offender, having to wait to flag the next post was frustrating.

    Whatever works, dear MSE towers, whatever works! Although consistency has a definite charm in pancake batter, I'm less fussed about whatever it takes to clear spammers.
