Jeeze stop over reacting and speak to the dealer.

You're right, I'm an over thinker. Always have been. I'm obvs letting the 100 mile round trip from mine to the dealer get in the way. He's said he'll post the service info out so I'll just have wait and see what he's going to do about the MOT. Maybe I'd be less worried if he was a local dealer and I could easily pop by for a chat.

You need to get away from the fact that it is a 100 mile round trip. It's a theme that comes up more and more on here, people thinking it's the dealer's problem that they have travelled a distance to buy a car.

It should be fairly easy to come to an agreement that doesn't involve you having to travel to them. You could get an MOT done - with the dealer reimbursing you, and being responsible for failings. The longer you leave it, the more likely he will be able to argue that you are being unreasonable. The courts assume both parties will be responsible.

Reading your original post, it's not obvious that there is anything major enough to class your purchase as 'not as described'. I'd expect your credit card company to resist any S75 claim, as the car is, from what you say, entirely fit for purpose but didn't have the service and MOT you expected.

Talk to the dealer and explain how you feel - not OTT, but just disappointed and worried and you would appreciate his help and advice on how to remedy matters. People tend to be more cooperative if you approach them in that vein rather than going for the jugular. Most people work full time and aren't conveniently located within a handy distance of a car dealer, so he should be used to sorting out this sort of issue.
