I did not intend to suggest you were a simpleton. I am sure you have many other skills which I don't."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Lastly, fyi - he is a RAC approved dealer. Guess I'll just have to wait it out and see what he comes back with on Monday.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I'm not sure how meaningful the whole RAC approved thing is. It could be RAC selling their name to give an air of kudos.0 -
I have the impression that you would rather have not bought this car?
You might want to check the dealers stock list. If he still has your Ford ask if he will do a swop. Dealer will have incurred cost and IMHO it would be unreasonable to expect all of your money back."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Feeling conned
Wished youd never bought it
Jeeze stop over reacting and speak to the dealer. Hes already playing ball so no reason to suggest your being in any way ripped off.
If theyve forgot to do it they should sort it put and most likely will. Until a time they start being awkward you should chill out. Unless youve never made a mistake or forgot something at your work??0 -
Thanks for what?:beer:0

Arcon5 tell me, how do I become such a supreme human being like you? The point I'm making is that neither the MOT or the Service, agreed to at the time of purchase, have been done. Again, I have faith in people and we all make mistakes, except you in your perfectness obviously, but to not do both of these in the 10 days since it became mine? How can a legit dealer 'forget' to do this? I think I've a right to worry. Yes worry as opposed to overreacting. Stop judging.
And my questions are rhetorical btw. Please don't feel you have to come down from your lofty perch to answer me. I'd hate for your to be bothered by an amoeba such as me.0 -

Mine car went up for sale straight away yesterday but then with an immaculate from new '15 plate with 4000 miles on it, it would lol
I love the car I've bought I just feel like I've been diddled and maybe there's a hidden control freak in me who doesn't like feeling that way !!0 -

I think youre way overthinking things tbh. Just send it back for the service and mot. Even go on a saturday and stay with the car and problems solved. He's probably just kept throwing it to the back of the line as yours was paid for and they wanted to get their other stock ready to sell.
Youre happy with the actual car, I'm assuming you've driven it and it's all working well. If it fails the MOT and they try to get you to pay out then that will be unfair but upto now it's easily resolved. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. You're right, I'm an over thinker. Always have been. I'm obvs letting the 100 mile round trip from mine to the dealer get in the way. He's said he'll post the service info out so I'll just have wait and see what he's going to do about the MOT. Maybe I'd be less worried if he was a local dealer and I could easily pop by for a chat.0
